On this channel we meet people, travel with them and learn how they experience and interact with foreign cultures and share their own culture with others. We also explore and experience samples of cultural products and practices from around the world. The aim of the program is to promote cross-cultural awareness, cultural appreciation, and interculturality.
Nice 👍🏾. Can’t beat some good seasonings on your meats 😂. Glad you have a fruitful garden 😊. I had a thick leaf thyme plant and my American friends insisted it’s was an oregano plant 🤷🏾♀️🤔
Thank you so much Gugu for being such an amazing ambassador for our country, South Africa. It's always encouraging to see young people making it not only in SA but representing us so well in other parts of the world. Well done Gugu
Very well articulated and I enjoyed the comparison of Southern Africa and the US. I didn’t know there are regions in the US that have Ubuntu. That’s a new perspective to me.
Ripe plantains can replace pumpkin when making conkie. Also (1) nutty plantain balls ( the recipe was in the first edition of What's Cooking in Guyana), (2) plantain porridge and (3) pastelón.
Very informative. Learnt something new about Kente Cloth 👍🏾. Beautiful weaving and designs. Yours is lovely ❤. Is it thick/heavy? Besides making clothing you can use it as home decor. Wall Art, table runner and or placements would be nice. Loving your new hairstyle 😉. Any info on Mudcloth fabric?
It is a heavy fabric. Thanks for the suggestions and the compliment 🙂. I have never heard of Mudcloth. I'll have to research it. Thanks again for supporting my channel ❤️
Very nice 👍🏾. My dad was in the military when I was a child. Not sure where he was stationed but I do remember him bringing home a Whisey Whisey duck. It was tasty 😋😄
She is a FRAUD. She falsified her Master's Thesis and was busted for that. Шарлатанка. Фалшифицира дипломната си работа и беше уличена в това. Голям скандал стана.
You're welcome, and thank you for viewing and subscribing. I would love to chat with you about your experiences as a Guyanese living in Brazil. Feel free to send me an email if you're interested.
In African Cultures, people live in harmony with nature. There is no reason to destroy the habitat (homes) of the ants. We live and let live. You know, our fore-fathers went hunting and when they saw the animal they needed to kill, they would pray first, thanking God for the animal and then they would ask for forgiveness from the animal and explain that they are only killing it to eat. Africans are not like Europeans who seem to kill for fun.
Wonderful content im anxious to try fufu but a more faster process for sure , it makes me think of staple foods as a child appreciating humble beginnings n using what you have to sustain us in hard times but good to the soul ❤❤ thank you
Thanks to Mr. Roy Geddes, M.S., A.A., and his wife Mrs. Pam Geddes for their gracious hospitality during our visit to the Steel pan Museum and for permission to create and post this video.
I love the sound of steel drums and the historical aspect of this is fabulous. Thanks for bringing this piece of Guyana history. I just wish I could hear you better over the music.
