I've always wanted a Virago ever since the early 80's. I'm short and the Virago fits me perfectly! Love the tires! I'd paint the bike red, though. Love the bike anyway! 😍
My 07 1100 did this ended up being the fuse block.i had no power at all pressed down on block had power rode it for a day then lost power coming home .it stayed running not good but made it home.
Great video. I'm thinking of doing the same to a Honda 250 magna variant but I can't find anyone to give unbiased advice. I worried the large pipes will kill the bottom end on a 250cc engine. Some loss is ok but is there a good gain at higher revs? What did you feel when you rode this bike? Keep up the good work.
I don't know if you will respond to this because its an old video but I have a 1998 Yamaha xv250 and I'm having trouble getting the bike to start I was wondering if you would be willing to help me out ?
I have a 96 600 dual carb I ripped everything off of the vacuums all that homemade velocity stacks on it cuz the other ones are too tall but it won't run unless I put a screen with a piece of foam in there
I can get mine to run on, on for a minute or two but then it slowly dies. Can run on prime no problem, but it will leak gas like no other. Can run on on but will slowly overflow on fuel.. any tips? I'm wondering if it's a vaccum issue, but i have recently replaced the petcock, thinking the original was bad. Possibly flooding the carbs?
mine will make the sound like it's trying to start, when i push the button, but, like, it doesn't ignite or something. i'm thinking it's a battery connectivity issue. but, all of this is new to me.
I would have actually glued the whole surface top and the backing of the vinyl push it in place smoothed it out then brought it around after dried and stapled
Do us a favor and find out who worked on them carbs (floats were brand new with no gas stain) so none of the people that see this video use him! lol Doesn't matter what you do to them carbs they will not operate correctly without the air box installed on the bike. Constance Velocity (CV) carburetors need back pressure to be balanced. With out the airbox there will always be a flat spot in your acceleration, always! The air pressure on the inward set will be lower the the outer two carbs and it will only get worse the faster you go, there is no way around it!
Wow your awesome, I have a 2002 vstar 1100 when I put the key in turn signal and horn work when I try to start it no power I hope this my issue because when I turn the kill switch on then press it to ignite it’s not no noise no nothing but the horn and turn signal work. I replaced the relay, changed oil and filter, i have the battery charging now o yea one question, what will make the battery go dead? 🤔
I got the same bike and it was my first bike, got it running and running pretty good! Mine is all stock minus some blinkers and straight pipes i put on it. I have that similar issue where the clutch is way out but ive adjusted it as far as i could and its barely good enough, i put new clutch discs in it and i have a brand new carb on the way aswell as a stage 1 jet kit to get her singing good. I dont ride it enought because i have newer faster bikes but i almost want to upgrade the sprokets but i can get to 80 just barely which i think is fine i jist use it to put around. Love your bike! They may not have alot of power or speed but man are they fun even for experienced riders lile us. Keep up the info amd videos!
With all due respect they're still white on the red frame and the one side of the white is thinner then the side that is facing the motorcycle. I feel like it might have been better if you used a brush instead of the spray so you could get a better detail. Just my opinion and I don't want to sound negative because it does look okay and it's a great concept good job.
