Gaslight was excellent, and having Bruce there at the beginning was very satisfying since we couldn’t get near the stage for Bruce’s set that night. Thanks for posting!
On A Sultry Summer Night In 1968, When I Was 15 Years Old, The Blossoming Upstage Club Culture In Asbury Park, New Jersey Gathered On The Corner Of Cookman & Bond Avenues. An Idea Materialized To Take An Excursion To Ocean County Park On Rt. 88 In Lakewood. I'd Known Bruce Springsteen For A Couple Of Years, First Meeting Bruce In 1966 @ The Rollerdrome Battle Of The Bands In Hazlet, N.J.. John Ogle, One Of My Teachers @ Neptune Intermediate School Drove Me There And Was A Band Manager For One Of The Acts. The Majority Of Kids Heading To Ocean County Park Were From Ocean Grove, My Hometown. Hence, Bruce Wrote A Song About The Events That Unfolded.

Music Unites Us So happy Bruce had to spend all those years going to church, he's a born/bred preacher....happy to be in that exact spot! And how wonderful that all that talent, makes sure they hug, appreciate and spotlight Mavis and Darlene.
👎 On your COMMENT! Perhaps THIS wasn’t a very good performance (imo), BUT they’re paying a ‘tribute’ to Springsteen. I’ve listened to music by him and 3 of the artists who participated, and they aren’t ‘jerks’! IF you’ve ever listened to ANY one of them on their own, or even in a duet, then you’d be able to hear them better. I’m 70ish now, and 1st heard Mavis Staples back in the late 60’s (Woodstock years) when she sang ‘The Weight’ with Levon Helm/Band, and again around ‘16 +/-, singing BOTH in an Elton John concert (by BBC Radio2 IIRC), plus a live tribute for Levon Helm with a another, even larger group of well known, respected, talented artists (Izod Center in Rutherford, NJ). This is to name ONLY ONE who’s in THIS video. So if you feel as you do, imo it would have been more respectful to have said you didn’t care for, or like the video - NOT to call them what you did! I’m sure the SAME could be said about YOU by others - I wonder 🤔 how that would make you feel!?
A Christian Hymn written in 1907 by Ada Habershon and Charles Gabriel. Made famous by the Carter Family in 1935. Recorded versions exist by Dylan, Leon Russell, George Jones, Greg Allman, Richie Havens, and even Susan Boyle (of "Britain's Got Talent") . The song is so old it is now in public domain. This version (Bruce & Co) should be soundboard mixed and released as a single for charity. Thanks OP
