It is! A Squier Affinity Strat built in Indonesia in the mid 2000s, I found it in a local thrift store a few years ago for super cheap. I've never really been a Strat guy but the price was right and the neck is terrific. Stays in tune, even!
Sounds like a Japanese shamisen played by Merzbow. You’ve come a long way since those IS shows I saw you play at Reynolds. Yeah, I’m that old. You back in Victoria?
Haha, nice! The times back in the early 80s when a lot of HC bands entered the competition to be the fastest band on Earth. it was pretty crucial to me, which records I bought with my limited budget back then.
35 or so years later and this STILL charges me up like a bolt of lightning in the ass!! Time for me to step away from RU-vid for today and go pick up my guitar! THANK YOU ANDY!!
Ÿeah I mean the Wright Brothers along with watt/hurley (minutemen) are the most formidable rhythm section of punk/ post modern history HOWEVER Kerr made the early NMN something special....no disrespect or disregard to Holliston and nmn post '91 but it was not youth that made the difference, most consider Kerr Era nmn special for a reason, as well as he was an integral part of the sound and songwriting process, Holliston was basically just filling out the sound and was playing on top of the music as opposed to Kerr being a part of the music, as well as lending energy I just don't think they ever regained again
Being from Australia and a NMN fan since the 80s, I'm shattered I never got to see you playing with them. Don't get me WRONG the couple of tours they did out here were great. But I just feel we missed seeing the real NMN. Thank you for the greatest music ever to have blessed my ear drums.
@@letiquetteparis9870 Tom Holiiston? Was that many years after the gig? Or on the night? If so, was Tom on the crew? He wasn't in the band at the time.
God I wish NMN would get together just ONE more time with you to see you guys play before I die. With you this time! Of course I’m not by far alone on that. Apparently that’s not going to happen at least with Rob, as he’s not wanting to play anymore and I get the feeling that means curtains for NMN, according to John whom I spoke with last night at a Dead Bob show in San Diego. 😢
This, to me, is the song that represents NoMeansNo. It's the song that hooked me to them since I first heard it in 1989. It has a structure that, to my knowledge, distinguishes it from any other song in the punk/hc/whatever world.
