I absolutely love all these videos! I have a tween and a teen and was looking to start teaching them some basic stuff this summer. These are a gold mine! Not sure why you stopped making them but perhaps recruit some teens from your town to help you make and edit more videos. This series is really good. ❤
Can't wait! I'm using this with my classroom today! I think form now on I am going to incorporate this in my life sills class around Mothers day! This is great! Thank you!
Great!!!! I recently realized my teenage son had not ever turned on an oven and I was cooking before age 8 when I was a kid. haha. This is the first time he ever used the oven at age 15. I love your channel. Keep it up. Here is a clip from when my son cooked. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JOkHP9VK7PI.html
That is awesome. Glad the video helped. Check out Essential Life Skills for Teens videos for some other great skills like, doing laundry, working on a simple budget, and filling up the gas tank in a car.
Anyone trying to learn may I suggest starting with pasta dishes and potato dishes. The scariest thing for beginners is hot oil, so dishes that don’t have any are good. Brownies are actually better than cookies imho because they can be way overcooked and still be decent. Cookies are kinda hard to tell when done. When your better try risotto as it’s very basics but sounds impressive and if you wanna try frying do arinchini which is just breaded and friend risotto balls.
Just wanted to thank you for this great show. I've been using these lessons in my virtual life skills class for my high schoolers!! I'm making this recipe with my own teen here at home today!! Thank You!!
You are so welcome! We're glad you gleaned some useful tips from the video. We hope the healthy handmade holiday treats you make this year are stunning and delicious!
Glad to hear that you and your class have enjoyed our videos. Don't forget to check out the Essential Life Skills for Teens on our channel. These videos feature doing laundry, filling up a gas tank and other basic car care, and sewing on a button. More to come!
Although it isn't necessarily a horror book so much as a thriller, the spookiest book that I ever read was Hannibal Rising by Thomas Harris. Getting to see how Hannibal Lecter grew up and became the character that we know so well. Great video!
Awesome recommendation! There are plenty of books that are spooky without being horror, just like you say. Hope you found some good ideas in the video. Happy reading! -Michelle
Your recommendation meant a lot when deciding what books to read this month :) Keep an eye out for an October wrap-up to hear what I think about Sawkill Girls! -Michelle
oooh some deep cuts!! good picks, i haven’t read some of these yet!! i really enjoyed “foul is fair” by hannah capin, a macbeth retelling from lady macbeth’s point of view, and “the grace year” by kim liggett which isn’t strictly a retelling but echoes “lord of the flies” and “handmaids tale” SUPER loudly, it’s so good.
"The Grace Year" sounds great! I am so interested that the YA market has really embraced adaptations. I'll have to check it out :) Thanks for your suggestions and your comment! -Michelle
This is a great list, thanks for sharing! I'm reading the latest Hunger Games story "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" by Suzanne Collins and really enjoying listening to it.
So glad to hear that! I've had it on my list for what seems like ages and I know it's going to hit all the right creepy buttons as the weather cools. Thanks for sharing that great recommendation! -Michelle
Thank you for the feedback. There are more Life Skills: Cooking Basics for Teens. This was the first episode; we worked on improving the audio in later installments.
Well done! quick review of 4 books for whites to read, & in which sequence. Like the fact that M. emphasizes that whites should do their own homework about racism. Only misstep was reversing the title of "me and white supremacy."
Thanks Edna, so glad you watched! Working daily toward anti-racism is an important task. And thanks for your constructive criticism -- I'll edit the video to note the mistake. -Michelle
Welcome to the community! I've never seen a library participate in the community like this before but I think it's absolutely brilliant! I'm looking forward to seeing more and I hope you enjoy your time here on Booktube :) xx
Thanks so much for your comment! I've certainly been enjoying it so far - knowing we're reaching book lovers makes it all worth while. Hope to see you back soon :) - Michelle
