Hi, does anyone else get an issue when using a PS5 or XSX with the LGC3 where the game dashboard doesn't show up when pressing the settings button? I can select Game Optimiser and see that Game Dashboard is set to on but greyed out but the smaller dashboard never shows up. Wondering if it's because the picture setting is set to Filmmaker mode and not Game Optimiser?
@@jt5196 Set the TV Internal Speakers' Audio preset to Game Optimizer and you'll see the game bar (with Low Latency: On as well) if you also have ALLM enabled.
Ciao Paolo, ho letto la versione aggiornata sul Patreon ma non ho capito se è consigliato abilitare PC Icon e Passthrough anche per PS5 e Xbox. Spero che potrai rispondermi 😊
Are those settings designed to reach “color perfection” like, reach gamma curve, brightness curve etc. like those graphs at rtings? I want to know, cause I want precision and “creators intent” images. Or these settings are for better quality at a personal level? Thx 🙏🏾
I followed this entire video step by step and HDR gaming on my series X looks bland, dark, and muddy. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong here. I feel like I've tried everything.
Ciao Paolo, bellissimo video, ordinato e chiaro come piace a me.
When i set mode to the FILMMAKER on Xbox or Switch, the settings button doesn't open the Game widget. I have to open it manually from the main settings and then it shows Low Latency as OFF. LG C3.
You’re doing Gods work my friend! These settings look absolutely incredible on my c3!! Changing the video range to “limited” is the secret sauce. The picture retains soooo much more color with that setting. Thank you so much!
Fot gamming i can use Cinema Mode + ALLM? I dont know why my LG OLED G3 77’ The light goes down a lot when I put filmmaker mode on. Its the same Cinema mode and Filmmaker mode right ? Both have it the potencial colour.
Bro quick questions. All your settings are great but what settings do you use for standard TV in SDR and HDR. All the settings on your page are for movies so was wondering if you had alternate settings for standard TV channels.
Yes, it will increase it a little but it's worth the extra fps/smoothness (if your base fps is 50-60 with FG: Off tho, otherwise you start seeing motion artifacts) Disable it for competitive online games.
Thanks for the video really easy to follow movies and my xbox know look fantastic on my LG c4, thanks for al the work that has gone into this. I noticed some very minor differences between the spreadsheet and the video , which one is the best to set . As an exmple for hdr movies in the video we use filmaker mode and a black level of 48 but in the sheet it says hdr cinema mode and black level of 49. I dont think I would notice any difference and all set same as video, but just curious if video or excel is most accurate. Video worked absolutly fine for me on c4 . apart for one or two setting that is greyed out and for life of me could not seem to work out what changes it ! I will run throught the video again !! I used an SD tv channel (playing some 80's progarmme !!) rather than an SD netflix title, as was unsure what programmes on netflix are sd, so maybe I should use an netflix one next time. Thanks for all the hard work.
Hi ! When I use COLORCONTROL on Windows and I want reset to original settings : it’s ok if I release the reset on TV ? When I enable Hgig in FMM, is the option « Hgig » is visible on TV setting ?
Hey Paulo, some pea recommend ps5 rgb range to set it to auto cause most of the ps5 games are 60hz and that full range give more details in dark areas and give more vibrant colors. What is your opinion about this? Thank you🙂
Great settings recomendations. I just got a new C4 and set it up using all your recommendations. Besides using warm 35 as color temp, everything else worked very well. I hope you could do a new similar video for the 2024 LG OLED lineup.
Hi ! Can you help me ? When I Watch Dolby vision content, it’s impossible to switch color gamut on « native » .. only on « auto ». Have you an issue ! Thx to France !
Hi, P40L0! I have some questions about my LG C3. 1) I have a very bad gradient banding in games. Especially in menus. How I can improve that? Can I turn on the smooth gradient option by color control app? 2) I do all settings like you say, but have problems with black in some games. For example, when I run Halo Infinite and saw logos of the company and loading screen. I saw black square near it. How can I fix it? 3) if I use color control app, does I need been always connected to my PC or I do it once and forget about it? 4) if my TV have firmware update, does I need do all again in my color control?
1) You can use PC Mode (HDMI Input Icon) but just note that it will ruin movies if you do (most Clarity options will be forcefully disabled) 2) That's an Halo Infinite FMV problem, not a calibration problem. In-game it will be fine 3) You can use ColorControl once on PC connected via the same Wi-Fi network and then even uninstall it. Settings will stay 4) No, settings will always stay
@@techoptimized Thanks! I use 4.4.4 passthrough option on my TV. Is it? I only play games at this hdmi input. Can I force on smooth gradient on game mode or filmmaker mode by color control?
@@shirtyfungus7995 Smooth Gradation will not work in PC Mode , 4:4:4 , ALLM and Game Mode. There's norhing you can do about. I would try disabling 4:4:4 Pass Through and directly use PC Mode in your case (after the icon switch you need to re-enter all your settings tho)
Hello, Great video! Can i use these settings also for a G4? Or will you be bringing out settings for it in the near future? My G4 is way too dark with HDR and Dolby Vision and I still have no luck finding a good setting. I have closed the curtains in the livingroom so it's very dark, and eventhough it helps a little, it's still so dark, that i miss a lot of details of what's going on in the movie. Any help greatly appreciated .... Thanks!
@@techoptimized Thank you so much for your fast reaction! i will check the description.... so i guess i have to follow the instructions of the updated document instead the video (if there is the newest info)?
