The cg50 has a higher resolution, fonts look better, multi graphs are much clearer, as each functon defaults to a different colour, or you can chose, you can also chose the graph to be ploted as a fine line clearing up multiple graphs further, i bought the french version (which has a bigger default set of python functions) but i was totaly discusted by the chunky function menue, meaning you have to guess or remember where the functions were ;(but i did not like the latest update to the french version of the cg50 which changed the main run matrix menue to the one found on the CW calculators, but atliest the origonal is left in menue selection "I".
It depends on your needs as a user. The fx-85GT CW is a budget-friendly option that includes 'standard' scientific functions like trig, fractions, and percentages. The fx-991CW is much more feature-packed with vector and matrix calculations, differential equations, summation, integration, etc. ^Dave
The fx-9750GIII will handle |x|=5 as if it were solving x=5, so it will not provide ±5. Students will need to consider the implication of absolute value and treat |x|=5 as x=5 or x=-5 and solve for both cases. ^Dave
Hello - you'll need to manually change your exponent and shift decimals to produce an answer in engineering notation as the fx-CG500 doesn't have this setting in the Number Format drop down. ^Dave
If your calculator was cleared recently, it may have deleted the Probability Sim add-in. You can re-download this and add it back in to your calculator from casioeducation.com. ^Dave
Looks like Design for Smartphone or PDA something. But is not like Calculator anymore. In my Opinion, "FX-CG500" Design are Different. Just like "FX-CG50" perfect looking great shape design for Calculator. Sadly, No Python on this menu for "FX-CG500".
How do I go from decimal directly over to fraction? Pressing the mixed number button doesn't work for that function when my starting point is only a decimal number
like most of these comments, thank you so so much, i tried using solve so many times but it just kept giving me the same answer for all equations, someone finally showed me i just had to press the equals button and it was you. TYSM☺
That was painful to sit through. Some basic things should just be obvious, like the ALPHA lock for instance. The people who are going to be using these calculators shouldn't need such things to be spelled out to them! Just get on with the actual programming!
Hello Paul. This originally existed as a webinar for educators unfamiliar with programming with Casio, which is why there was a long introduction. We're sorry you're frustrated by this and will keep this in mind for future content. ^Dave
