if Disney and Sony Pictures (should it spin-off) DO merge, here's what I could envision: - Walt Disney Animation Studios and/or Pixar Animation Studios could absorb Sony Pictures Animation to become a newly revived Blue Sky Studios and Industrial Light and Magic could absorb Sony Pictures ImageWorks to become ImageWorks. - Should PBS buy out Fox (then sell the Fox trademark to Disney), 20th Century Studios would be renamed as 20th Century Fox (serving as the big budget movie unit), Disney would take over family entertainment, Columbia Pictures would serve as the general entertainment unit and TriStar would absorb Screen Gems, Searchlight Pictures and Sony Pictures Classics to serve as the arthouse/foreign film unit. - Spider-Man would be fully under Marvel Studios' control. - Hulu would absorb both Crunchyroll and Disney+. - FXX and Freeform would form as AXN while FX being the movie channel still. - Sony's gaming assets would be beneficial to Disney's current strategy in terms of releasing games. Alternatively, it could just sell Sony's gaming assets to Nintendo, since it's the Disney of video games.
