I love the presentation but somewhere the balance is off. It's off between the piano and orchestra. It seems like to me that they are trying to avoid each other all the time. I do love the feel of this performance and even the rhythm when I can glean it from my hearing.
Thank you for the video. Your playing gives me courages to live forward and remind me all the great time and memories. Appreciate this moment of hearing your music in Korean
Hi~Professor Tsachor, Could you kindly guide me on how to obtain the sheet music for this piece. I tried searching on the Lincoln Center Library website, but I couldn't find a way to access and getting the sheet music. I truly appreciate your expertise and assistance in this matter. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
I am very fond of the integral from 5:45 and then onwards, where I would definitely need angelous advice of❤ Katjuscha❤... ...is it rather - largely - in the dominant a-major ?... or not I do can hear as a transformation somewhere there a c-sharp... ...well almost for sure... ...anyway I like the mere density of notes there that do evoke with this major keys a pressing and agitated feeling but nonetheless very joyful and... ...radiant... ...it is but compelling and one might ask what Mendelssohn would have been to come up with, if it he hadn't been to come in that young... ...it is on hearing such integrals of music, what I consider moments where it is like a star that gets into being, it is with all its presuppositions and implications but at the same time it is not for most of humanity... ...you need to marvel at it and reflect on it thus to get shaped by it to store something thereof subconsciously... Le p'tit Daniel🐕🐕🐕🏒🏒🏒
I love your brilliant playing of this sonata, one I had never heard before. Happy 2023, Uriel. 🤗 I hope you will play more of Scarlatti's lesser known gems for us.
This sounds wonderful. And I find this very moving that the violin was removed, moving, in a different way than the original. It as if someone spoke the words of a absent friend, trying to convey his thoughts and character as faithfully as possible, but him being a different person, it of course ends of being almost like the words of two people at the same time.
According to the 3 catalogs of Griffes' works I've found, there are 5 piano sonatas. Yet all on RU-vid, though they claim different keys are all the same music! What the heck! Is this one of the two in D-flat Major, the one in D minor, F minor, or F-sharp minor. It's most confusing because I can't tell which one is which! Someone, can you tell what key this one is? I doubt very much it is the F minor one! And since it lists only 2 movements, in my catalog that would be the 2nd one of the two in D-flat Major! But this doesn't sound like a major key! HELP!!!
@Uriel Tsachor I know its been a while but I really wanted to learn this piece for piano, but havent been able to find sheets for solo piano, can you maybe share a pdf file of the sheets? if you still have it. thank you very much <3 :D. Great playing!
Unfortunately, I got the score in 1990 way before PDF's and digital copies. I only have a paper printout that is way too lengthy for me to scan. The info where I got it is: Bayerische Staatsbibliotek, or,
Thank you. If you live around NYC the NY public library archives in Lincoln Center has the score where I got it years ago. You can also ask them to mail it to you with a small PayPal deposit. If you provide an e mail address I can send it to you via drop box, . It was published and printed one time only, in 1915.
@@urieltsachor As I couldn't find it myself at the Lincoln Center's online catalogue I would be very grateful Sir, if you could email it to me, of course only if it doesn't cause any issues for you. My email is mladenovfelix@gmail.com. Many, many thanks.
@@urieltsachor Good morning Mr Tsachor, may I ask you the courtesy to send me the sheet music for this piece to me as well? I live in Italy and I looked up everywhere in musical shops here and online, but this transcription is impossible to find! It is really gorgeous. My email is andrea.detomas@libero.it. Thank you so much in advance for your kindness. Kind regards, Andrea
Not the same feeling without the violin but it's an amazing piece and the interpretation is good. You can really see that the piano can play pieces made by string instruments. Might play this arrangement and the original if I get much more better at both piano and violin.
This you? “Just a tip, take a look at your grammar before you say something because you might look stupid” also you “if I can get much MORE better at both piano and violin” lol
