Randy Rhodes is and will always be the greatest guitarists to ever have been on this planet. Quite riot was his band and that makes them super special. I wish I could hang out with you guys. But for writing this song "thunderbird" God bless you guys!! I still miss him too. Thank you!!!😎🤘
This is awesome! Brings back good memories. They were my first rock concert. 13 years old. Kick axe, whitespace, and quiet riot headlines. It was amazing! Left with a drumstick from frankie and 2 broken fingers!
I was a16 year old teenager during the golden age of metal and hate watching all the metal heads dying off.....Kevin, Ronnie James Dio, Lemmy, Frankie Banali....just sad :(...
I had the fantastic opportunity to meet Kevin well after the fame and fortune of the 1980s music died well away, 2005/6ish. I had the great opportunity to tell him that my indoctrination into the love of heavy metal was seeing Quiet Riot on Solid Gold in the early 80s singing “Cum on Feel the Noise”. Two memories I’ll never forget. Meeting him and that television appearance on Solid Gold.
Im Crushed 💔 Met Him and Quiet Riot up here yrs ago, such a sweet Soul, R.I.P. FRANKIE ROCKIN Prayers to ur family and us fans and friends Ur with Rhandi, Kevin And sooo many Frankie Ty for ur love and music and dedication 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Who is not better than Dimebag? carlos? Dimebag was nowhere near Randy's league listen to Dimebag struggle to cover Randy's songs on the youtube video. Randy was absolutely better than Dimebag, Dimebag has even said that
This is one of the best songs I miss randy so much I started a rock band to help musicians get sober Borderline Delusion band Danny guitars and words Please listen to the metal playlist
JAVi ROTH cuz randy was a teenager while in quiet riot, dubrow, sarzo, don airey and tommy aldridge all say randy was the best guitar player they ever played with and airey played with rainbow, gary moore, ufo, black sabbath, judas priest, aldridge played with jake e lee, whitesnake, and many others.
Did Carlos take them further, or did they catch lightning in a bottle with a great cover, they did not even want to do originally. Iam not sure Carlos, although veyr good in his own right, took them to the next level directly. he deserves credit, but the band had changed as had the industry by the time Randy left, Randy was not being allowed to write the songs he truly wanted, they were so desperate to get signed they were following trends trying to write a sign of the times. By the early 80's Randy and Bob had changed metal and got people excited again in rock. So perhaps Randy's success and the blizzard of ozz helped Quiet Riot get a second lease on life because then the industry was shifting to favor and want to sign and promote metal.
