I can totally relate on the friendship front. I recently ended a relationship of seven years and one of my biggest regrets is not investing in my friendships more during the relationship. Friendships usually outlast romantic relationships! And they’re also so joyful and important for your social life 🫶🏼

I’ve been together with my bf for 2,5y and since I’ve met him I became a bit lazier to make friends and prefer his and my parents company over anybody. But I’m trying to be more social and get to know more people, it’s just very challenging cause I also have adhd and I get bored easily with people and conversations… especially in Europe I feel like everybody already has their group and are a bit closed, both in Belgium and now in Budapest I noticed that. But anyways I love watching you and your bf, I’m doing long distance and can’t wait to live together with my bf.

I moved to CPH from Vancouver CA not too long ago and i kinda get what you mean - it can be super hard to make properly close friends - i've been practically starving for close, intimate girlfriends with whom i can talk about those deep topics. i had those friends in Vancouver and i didn't realise how important they were until i didn't have them closeby. also tip for the egg yolks - make some custard! it makes for suuuuper yummy and quick summer desserts with some tart shells and fresh fruits!

Living different country and speaking different language make you like difficult to make close friends… if someone move away from near you, there will be a new chance or time to spend someone else. I went to Scandinavian countries and I was really surprised at how well everyone spoke English. I want Japan to be like that too.

We love bread, and enjoyed your baking skills...we still go to an Italian "Bakery on Arthur Avenue" in the Bronx(New York State)...these bakeries have been on Arthur Avenue for GENERATIONS...you can google them...one day you might be in New York City(Consists of Manhattan, The Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens) and you can take a subway to Arthur Avenue and do your own taste-testing....You and Helgi(is this the right spelling...my GF and I cannot decide if it is right)...will live a LONG life with your healthy baking! Birta, just when I thought I couldn't relate to you more! 💖My partner and I live in Scotland but we aren't from here (I'm from California and he's from Portugal). Lately it's been taking a toll on us being away from family and our closest friends for nearly three years, so in a few months we're moving to Portugal. Finding new friends as an adult is difficult but not impossible. Why do you have the arm chairs that I found a set of at the thrift store recently, framed? They are identical except for colour. Love from the Netherlands!
