the 16V -> USBC Adapter ist not good for poeple they use the plug (16V) i use it for a fridger, i hope you put in a Cable that is so long to the back USBC iwould drill a hole ...
Can't believe how easy this was. I am not very handy, I did it outside in the dark of night, and the connectors were hidden away pretty good compared to the video. I still did it very easily, probably in around 10 minutes or so. Can't recommend enough. The Knob blends in perfectly with the interior. ALMOST looks factory installed.
I like the idea of the functions that the gen 2 commander can do… but I really don’t want buttons or knob. Can they be all accessed via the app? Is there anything the buttons can do over the app?

Awaiting delivery of my Highland tomorrow 🙂I key feature for me would be a smart action to disable ISA (Intelligent Speed Assist Chime) whenever I go to drive. Can you tell if that would be possible to control with the commander? If its not implemented would that be a setting you can change via the BUS connection you have? Another question, when you are talking about the Tesla API, does that still require to jack into the BUS or is it independent then? Anyways, great product! ❤
Congrats on the new car! The API is limited (as most APIs). It gives access only to the climate features so far. The ISA thing is something we are looking into 🙂
The US won't allow Chinese carmakers to just sell their cars in the USA, for the same reason they banned Huawei - US companies can't compete. I love Tesla - I think it's a great brand. And I believe that Tesla will be extremely competitive against all chinese competition coming up - in this video they lost and won, and that's basically what will happen in real life - it's going to be super competitive! But think about all the other US carmakers - Ford, GM, Chrysler - they don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of competing with any of that; they're out! They won't sell any cars outside the USA in a couple of years from now; in the USA, they're going to be protected by government tarriffs, bans, and maybe they'll make some videos of Chinese cars catching fire, creating the usual FUD - but the reality is, Chinese gadgets are the best, and cars are also the best, and only Tesla and maybe BMW and Mercedes, Porsche / VW can compete. US carmakers can't - they're toast. Tesla has Elon Musk and an entire team of geniuses. They will be fine against this Chinese EV onslaught. But the other carmakers are over. Even Toyota will have to up their EV game to have any chance.
I would love to have a "Street Mode" that mimics track mode, but without cooling. I don't need to burn energy and reducing power keeping things cool on a back road blast. Please please add this.
The Lucid AIR Sapphire destroyed the Model S Plaid. It beat it by like 10 car lengths. JS. It's definitely NOT the FASTEST EV on the market. Not upset or anything, just wanted to call you on your statement, because you were saying it like it was a fact. It is fast, but not the fastest. The Lucid Sapphire has 1240hp I believe, or there abouts, and has 3 motors, 2 in the rear and 1 in the front.
@Enhance is it possible to program so that a twist left on the knob will engange left blinker and right - right? that could solve my worries about ordering a Highland Performance For drive I see you only push it down a bit then go right to get into drive.
At the moment you can activate left and right turn signal by the buttons of the knob. We think it is much easier , and people who have tried it can confirm
i dont really see the use case for this. who is driving along and needs a quicker way to open the frunk? or swap to dog mode by pressing a button? i dont get it.

Zeekr and Xiaomi are jokes in China, if you really wanna support Chinese EVs go buy BYD, all I see online are Elon Musk haters cuz they all jealous of him 😂 In China everybody knows that Tesla is still the king of EV.
