Welcome! New Uploads every week :) My Chanel consists of Makeup GRWMs, reviews, and project panning! I am a big believer in using what you have so you will see a lot of tutorials/GRWM's using "older makeup". You can also follow me over on my IG @megansmakeupmusings
Came back to this video because I'm goung make up shopping today and been loving everything I ever bought from your recommendations ❤ (Hence the 3rd time I'm buying that Milani primer) ☺️
Yay! I was one of the people that recommended the fenty mascara. I really enjoyed the sample I had, but it smudged on me. However, I notice mascara acts different based on the season. The only tried and true I've found is the tarte tubing mascara. Great review video!
I always love watching your “speed” reviews lol. When you go in-depth and explain what you enjoyed or didn’t makes it easier for me to decipher if the product would work for me. Funny enough I’ve tried the Hourglass liquid blush and the Armani concealer. I love both, my packaging for the concealer had the writing on the bottle the applicator did take some getting use to for me and your right, a lot of product doesn’t get dispensed. I love the foundation and I love that it comes in a mini size.
"it is good but I just don't reach for it", your feelings on powder blushes are my feelings on cream and liquid ones. I have to be mindful that I have them and need to use them but my immediate reflex is to go for a powder, be it in a palette or single. A cream isn't that hard to remember but I do struggle to keep in mind the two liquid blushes I have. Which I got as gifts. And I usually end up layering them with a powder
I know alter ego has a dupe of the palette, so if someone wanted this color story specifically or just an inexpensive pastel palette, it could be a good option
I'm doing a shop my stash weekly instead of monthly. That way I won't get bored. I love having a few palettes chosen for the week, so I'm not scrambling to decide in the morning.
That’s fair! I sometimes mix it up as well I just don’t swap it all out since I don’t have many options in some categories. Yeah I’ve been having my bf pick my palette the night before and that’s been a lot of fun!
This is the 3rd video I've seen recently with blue eyeshadow. I wanted to so a blue look today, but since I had some errands to run, I went with semi basic. I'm definitely doing blue soon. With my Blend Bunny Lure palette. 🩵💙🩵
I tracked my usage last year using google sheets. I was pretty faithful but then go bored having to keep track. So I stopped and just recently got back into it. I also incorporated an random number generator to spice up my looks when I am wearing makeup. It's been fun so far.
Yeah that’s what I was worried about, that I would get bored + it would start to feel like a chore. That is fun! I have my bf pick my palettes a couple of times a week and that has been really fun to mix it up as well!
I track my usage on (almost) everything in my collection. It makes it so easy to do roundups on my most used items at the end of the year. It also helps me decipher what I still need to use that I haven’t used yet. I also have a fair amount of products I didn’t use at all last year that are on the chopping block this year.
Heya! I actually have an entire spreadsheet with all of my products and I take flatlays every day and add those uses in the spreadsheet- it’s not perfect (I’m like 2 weeks behind rn) but it is interesting to see what’s used and what is not!!
Ohhh that's a good idea to lay it out and take photos! I think that would make it more manageable to track. Thank you for sharing that! Because i would like to track everything but the thought seems daunting
That’s what I’m hoping for too! That’s it’ll help bring balance and mindfulness to use some that would get neglected! And i think it’ll help show what I organically don’t wanna use 😅
I;ve heard nice things about the one size formula but it never made sense to me to have a trio with two blushes in the same color but different formula. Maybe because in spite of my best efforts I'm still not a cream girl but the extra step of layering the cream and powder blush seems like too much for me
I’m with you there! I don’t layer. But when I used this cream, it looked almost grey after I put my setting powder over it so I needed the powder portion. It was odd. I need to play with it more. The highlighting portion is STUNNING though
These big name beauty influencers are ripping people off. I hit pan after using the new golden pallette from Natasha Denona after 2 uses??? I hardly used that product. She has no problem charging 69.00 for it though!! Won't be buying her pallettes anymore. I'll go with wet and wild instead. Their eyeshadow palettes are really well pigmented and distribute evenly on the lid for a low price.
Wow, that’s wild considering how much product comes in her pans. Not sure how much is in the golden one because I haven’t looked but the amount of product in these pans is equivalent to some blushes 😅 I still recommend her products but I’ve had a different experience than you.
Oh yes, the air bubble in squeeze tubes drives me batty! Especially in lip products, you either squeeze too much or not enough and they're usually so liquidy and runny I always have a hard time estimating the squeeze The gunk is half the reason why I've been loving brow wax. I can actually use it all, intead of having a part go gross or be completely unreachable by the brush
I think he got them because this stray cat keeps pooping in our yard + I think he ate it 🤮 they gave him 2 tablets and he already seems better thankfully!
Yeah, we are all human. While i was bummed that i slipped up and broke the rules i still feel like the overall goal has been accomplished. Which is why i wanted to share, it's okay to slip up and still participate in a project!
The last update the pan over purchase and your thoughts on it are so helpful. Back in 2021 I had the funds and recklessly spent way too much money on makeup. I was getting married and used any excuse to buy something (even though very few items were actually used). That's when I realized who I was watching and the social media consumption was encouraging this toxic behavior. I've changed who I watch and being mindful of purchasing. Through the last couple years I've been tracking my purchases to see how I'm progressing. I could still do better, and this year my mental health hasn't been the best and I felt guilty. However, it's items I'm using and loving so I don't regret my purchases. As long as we have the means to pay for it and we're being mindful adults it's all good. ☺
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS COMMENT! I am in the same boat with who i was watching, tracking, overall improvements, and being in a poor mindset that's let to some recent purchases. All have been pretty well thought-out and mostly within limits. I am enjoying them so i have no regrets either!
