Gardening has given me the joy and excitement to keep on living,to be thankful and to appreciate little things that most of us has taken for granted. In this channel, I will be sharing my life in Germany as a Filipina, my activities in my small rose garden in all four season of a year, my travels and favourite recipe of cake, pastry and food. My wish is to impart little joy and encourage viewers to take time to relax, to be aware of life and be part of nature. To live nowadays in this high technology environment, I noticed a lot of people are suffering from burn out, students pressured to learn so many things which are sometimes not needed in reality." Take time to breath and smell a rose", that's the phrase I always remind myself everyday.

Your roses look lovely Gemma. Most of mine are just starting their second flush. We have Gaura here in England but I've never seen one as big as yours. I had it in my old garden but it didn't survive. Your blackberries look wonderful. When I was a little girl, I used to go blackberry picking with my friends. There were no mobile phones in those days so we were always outside enjoying ourselves.

@@rosegardengems Hello Gemma, I hope that you are okay. Our trip to David Austin's was wonderful with still lots of colour to see. It wasn't really the best time of the year to go as a lot of the ramblers had finished and there was plenty of deadheading to be done but we almost had the place to ourselves. I've been re- watching a video on Paul T's World and I could see what things were like when the roses were at their best. It was so hard narrowing down my list of "wants" as you can imagine! I came away with Ancient Mariner, Emily Bronte (which smells lovely and I can't understand why I've not bought her before), Harlow Carr and Tottering by Gently. The car was pretty full going home as amongst the roses we had all of our luggage and I'd also bought A Bill Mckenzie Clematis from the garden centre which was by our holiday cottage. I would definitely return to David Austin's if I get the opportunity and I forgot to mention that the staff were really helpful when I asked them about Linda's (Soulgirlktf) Elizabeth rose as it had produced two different coloured blooms. Take care Gemma. x

I once had some bedding plants missing from an order and I never heard anything after I had made my first phone call. I buy all of my roses from the local garden centres and I keep adding to my collection after seeing all the beautiful gardens on RU-vid.
