Bummer! I wish I could have seen this before I purchased a different company's small die machine. I had a Tim Holtz side Kick that gave out and couldn't find another Side Kick to replace it. The Side Kick s great! It is sturdy, stays in place nicely, and has short strong plates that don't warp and take a minimal time to get through the machine, which speeds up cutting.
I bought a sidekick like 5 years ago and it broke a year later, a piece of metal fell out the bottom where the suction is, I ended up buying a Tim holts sidekick, but I wasn’t too impressed with it. I then bought a big shot plus and I was very disappointed because my intricate dies didn’t cut no matter what I tried.
I have a foldaway, and a sidekick. The foldaway lives on a shelf and gets used for the big dies and embossing folders, but the sidekick lives in my craft cart so I can take it with me to the couch or wherever. I have some dies and stamps I use very often (tiny envelope, some flowers and leaves, a few of the lawnfawn minis like the puffins and the hedgehogs,...) those stay with the sidekick because they fit perfectly.
I have the aqua special edition Sidekick, from some years ago. I really love it. It was my first die cut machine and I still use it to this day. The kit is exactly the same, only the colour is different. I think a small machine like that is very useful. I have a Big Shot but 99% of the cutting I do, is done on with the Sidekick. It is small, so it is easy to have on the shelf next to me or on the desk all the time and it can take most of the Sizzix dies. I think, a very large portion of the Tim Holtz dies also fit in the Sidekick! It is a lovely machine!
I have a Sidekick and I love it! For anyone that is hesitatant, because of its size, don't be. It cuts many of my dies, easily and cleanly. I use it as much as I use my Vagabond. It doesn't strain your hands either; if you can grasp the handle, it turns easily. I accidentally dropped mine but it still works fine. Whew! I love the color and the wonderful extras that come with this one. I'm not sure if any will be available around Christmas but I'm thinking I might ask Santa for this one.
Hi I think you need to adjust your lighting, maybe change the table to a light blue/grey also. It's hard to watch you demonstrating, really hard on one's eyes, it's just glaring. I had to turn off.
I'm trying to label all my cardstock by color name and company name, but I've yet to find a list of the names of the cardstock in this pack (663007). My other pack had a list of the names, but not this one! Can you help? TIA
My first die cut machine (sizzic) doesn't cut. It's very hard to turn the handle that I am afraid to brake it. I don't know what to do? I live in the Middle East.
WOW WOW WOW. way to go Pete! the way you extended this die is amazing. The color combinations were so lovely. Thank you again for the lesson in looking beyond the obvious.
Hi, Thank you for watching 😊 all printers are different so we're unable to give exact settings but, we recommend setting your printer to a thick cardstock and manual feed the shrink plastic through. Tag us in your makes, we'd love to see what you're creating!
I love Stacey Parks new Seasonal Collection. She is a very talented and generous Designer! Pete’s Demo is PERFECT! Such clever and numerous iterations of just the Star Bright and the Triangle die sets show just how versatile Stacey’s designs are. Pete always knows how to show a product’s potential. 🤗💕
