I’m 43 and thinking about law school. For those that have completed their law degree as an adult, what were some of the challenges you faced and how did you overcome them? Thanks for the advice! 🙌🏽
Wow. I work as a slots manager, and for the last few months, I’ve been thinking of doing law school after my bachelors at 37 years old. Two more years.
32, just graduated with my BS in cybersecurity technology, studying for the LSAT for the next two months, taking it in November and plan on having my application out to Baltimore (rolling admission) by Christmas. Best of luck everyone!
I'm a recently graduated lawyer from Mexico. Here, it's common to work as a paralegal while you’re in law school. Neither of my parents are lawyers, so I wasn't familiar with many aspects of the profession. I began working as a paralegal (for free) in my second semester of law school and juggled between law firms and helping my mom with the family business. Before this interview, I felt that I was “late” because I hadn’t had the chance to gain more experience before obtaining my diploma. However, after listening to this podcast, I feel motivated to continue pursuing my career. Currently, my job is not entirely related to legal work, but I am studying for my master’s degree in Trade Law and International Commerce Law. Thank you for sharing your experience. I am determined to work much harder to become a great lawyer.
I don’t consider 40 “later in life”.I studied law hands-on,and still did all young people would do at that age, obtained my LLM and enlisted for my Doctorate in Law which will now be done and dusted at age 44-in 2026
33 & starting paralegal school in August. Tired of dead end jobs & I somehow got stuck as a box truck driver. Full mental breakdown made me realize I need a change
If I didn’t keep postponing and ultimately canceling my LSAT, I may have been in class with this guy. I’m in Vegas and had intended to go to Boyd School of Law at UNLV. I’m about 5 years older than him and got a bit discouraged.
I’m 26 and I’ve been thinking about this for a little while. Hearing this story puts so much perspective to my situation. I felt like it was too late, but now I feel early lol
I'm 26 as well and starting a paralegal program in the fall. I'm going to bridge to a bachelors (while working as a paralegal) and then apply to law school
I'm 50 and I'm 8 weeks away from finishing my work experience portion of qualifying to become a solicitor in Australia. Took 8 years working full time and school at night, but I'm nearly there. I'm scared but hopeful.
Thank you. I'm 41 and made the jump. Take my civ pro final tomorrow wrapping my 1L up. Thank you for sharing. I had a lot of concern about being a late starter (out of HS worked at a bank until 9/11, then military, then school, then about 7 years in law enforcement). This motivates me to keep digging!
This was very inspiring. I'm 32 and have been debating on whether being a lawyer this "late" was the right move, especially with having a business to run.
I was in my 40's when I first started my journey, but that was interrupted when my mom had a stroke along with some other things. Now I'm in my fifties and I have alot of hurdles. I'm trying to find my way thru this. My plan is to finish up paralegal studies first and then working on the LSAT Any suggestions????
I’m 48, finishing paralegal certification this year. I’ve found studying law fascinating. I want to go to law school. Find the LSAT intimidating and procrastinated on studying and signing up. I do want this. I will do it this year and apply to schools. I live in California and plan to stay here. I’m still exploring the different fields in law. I know that all the different experiences I’ve had will help me in law. Trying not to think too much about my agep, and think that I would at least have another 20 years to work in law
What advice would you give to a self-taught paralegal with no college degree and maybe 10 years of career left? Anything that can advance my skill-set that doesn't take 5+ years?
This podcast was so inspiring! I’m 34 and am studying for the LSAT. I’m about 10 years into my career with a bachelor’s degree in visual communication. I’ve always wanted to be a lawyer but I never thought I could afford law school. Now that I can, I’m going for it! We only have one life to live so even if I don’t get into law school - I can at least say that I tried!
I'm about to be 44 in a week and I'm graduating with my BS in business administration in May.. here I am considering if I should go to law school. It's been a dream of mine that won't go away.
So cool this is here! I just did a video podcast at my college on law school, political topics, and being an older school student! Really enjoy your show and hope to be on one day!
I am older and I decided to go back to school. I graduate with a paralegal degree this year and am going straight to law school this year if I can get in. I will continue to pursue law until I get to where I want to be! Keep going guys!
Thank you for this great content! I’m not sure how this came up on my feed but I’m glad it did. My husband is a 57-year old 2L now. He retired from a career and always dreamed of becoming a lawyer to give back.
This is very inspiring. Ive fucked up my early-mid 20s and i think i want to become a lawyer. Im 28 and i dont have any degree yet. Thank you! I think im confident in doing this!
Hi. I visited your RU-vid channel and found it needs a lot of updates. First of all your channel video SEO is very weak due to which your channel video views are not increasing. If you do SEO then your video will come first in the search list and your video views and subscribers will increase.
Very informational and inspiring In life, whether we notice it or not, every single day is a constant battle of sometimes we would like to act out on our anger and frustration, but the law is always there are to make things, right where there is wrong doing. God please you at Zinda Law group
Same I am studying now for the lsat I really want to be a lawyer but the lsat is a bit discouraging and it’s so draining. I enjoyed all of the law classes I took in undergrad so I know I would love law school lsat is kicking my butt
@@Green-nw1og Keep going, you can do it! The lsat is harder than law school in my opinion (I just finished my first year) so once you conquer it (which you CAN), you'll be flying.
@@gunnyjwells1977 I went later in years and non-traditional. So it can be done. Love to see service men do it. Let me know your progress. Many people are you tubing their journey now.
