I'll never forget this bridge when I went to Savannah about 15 years ago with my mom. We came from the north into town and from that approach the first thing you see is the bridge towers looming in the distance. But I had never seen a bridge like this one before and I remember thinking "What the hell is THAT?" when the towers began to appear on the horizon. I couldn't figure out what that enormous and bizarre structure was sited so close to the road, and then as I got closer I realized it was PART of the road! Then I said to my mom "Whoa, look at that bridge!". And she said "Oh NO! Did we have to come THIS way?!?! I told her I was just following the map... I remember thinking wow, what a weird and freaky looking bridge! I thought it was neat to drive across it, but obviously my mom didn't think so. I wanted to go back and drive over it again, but luckily for my mom we were headed to Florida after our stay in Savannah so we did not go back across it. I was disappointed I didn't get to do that.
A lot of memories 70’s to 2006. Most of my family grew up in Nanticoke and Plymouth. Tough to see all the businesses when I was young are gone now. Health care and government buildings keeping town alive. Hope town gets break one day.
Just finished your very detailed video of the Norwegian Jade. I was wondering when you were on the ship - what itinerary did you have? I saw mountains but I knew it was not Alaska? What islands? Western Caribbean? Thanks again.
New York City has eight skyscrapers with that are at least 1200 feet tall (364m), more than every other city on earth. I am going to visit NYC in August- it should be fun!
