I just maiden this plane placed the Li-Po in the same location as you are and soon as I turned off Safe the plane is diving like crazy! I switched it back to safe and went ever higher and and and tried to dial up trim and I’m up to 40 clicks of up trim, and is still diving like crazy. All the incidents was a dead zero after on bound it so I thought this was going to be fine to Maiden. This just seems to odd to me! Any thoughts on this issue? Thank you in advance!☹️
That seems very odd. Mine is very dialed in. Are you sure the battery didn’t come loose? I have had that happen and it will act this way. Lmk. Let’s get this fixed. It’s a great plane!
@@spyderrcpilot I figured out what i was doing wrong. Thanks to u & THIS video! I thot i had 20 planes. Ended up being 33!🤯 Thank YOU for the best video on here! 👍
Great question! So I always set my timer and go by it but I will also rely on the voltage telemetry as a guide. Sometimes when you are full throttle the readings can be off.
I like it a lot. It has a nice feel. Also I think it has great potential with the Wi-Fi and we will see more and more features as we go! The dx8 is a rock solid tx I do have to say.
@@bchboy1206 I had the identical dilemma, and went ahead and got the nx10. I'm glad I did. It's not a night and day difference, but it's a nice upgrade.
Just wondering if anyone is having this problem. During setup I loaded a couple of aircraft from the BNF list and later deleted them. When I loaded them for the second time the transmitter created 2 identical programs. When I tried to delete one, they both got deleted. Loaded a third time, now I have 3 identical copies of each program. Tried a factory reset, that didn’t help. Gonna call Horizon today. Guess it’s like buying a car, never buy the first year model😁
This was my first plane I flew after 25 years out of the hobby and its a excellent plane. I did some flights and I love it. Tell me where did you get your skis for it?
Nice info bud. I just got the NX8 and it was broken. I called Horizon and they are exchanging it for me. It kinda sucked bc I waited 4 months for it. thanks for sharing.
I know how you feel. But I feel like the advances in the transmitter technology have been awesome and once you get used to it they are pretty easy. For most bind and fly eflite products I just download the files right from their website and then I buy in the model and go.
I actually exported to an address card not directly to the micro sd card. But I am sure you can export directly to a micro sd card in a holder. I used a 32gb card but that is way overkill. Just what I had.
Others discovered that the switches in the back are loose and rattling. After the firmware updates people found that older receivers are experiencing throttle pulsing every ten seconds.
Interesting. Luckily I don’t have those issues. Like all new technology it will take some tweaking. Love the feel and have a few months of down time here ( unfortunately due to snow) but thank you for the information:)
@@spyderrcpilot Snow here too, I live in Michigan. People with older receivers are experiencing problems. Horizon Hobby said that a firmware update is coming to fix the throttle pulsing.
Please keep cables away from the short antenna inside of fuselage. Spektrum recomends 2inches/50mm clearance. You may have less good reception otherwise.
So I downloaded my files to the computer and moved them over to the micro sd. But I realized after that you can use the usb wire it came with to plug it in and you have to activate the sub mass storage on the tx. You can than move them over that way. Make sure to export all models in your dx to a card prior.
Congratulations! I got mine today and found out the wifi doesn’t even work :) . I was wondering if yours make the sound like something internally got loose when you hold the radio and shake with your hands. I hope not but it’s greatly appreciated if you could help me test it out. Thank you!
