When I play the French defense, I usually ask myself "why didn't I just do Caro-Kann?". Yet, when I open with Caro-Kann...I end up asking myself "why didn't I just play the French?" I think I need practice with both. XD
1750 and feel the same about losing. I hate it. It makes me wanna stop playing. I think your coach is right in a way but you don't wanna be playing more games than you can process.
3 on 3 like that you just push the one in the middle and when he takes with the left pawn you push the right one, when the right one is captured you have a passed pawn if not you take the middle one and you again have the passed pawn and going back to pushing the one in the middle if he takes with the right one you push the left one and do the same if that makes sence
In this case that doesn’t work as you would promote at the same time if I’m not mistaken. It would probably be a draw from there with best play with white putting pressure. Here whites winning maneuver is backtracking the king, black pawn can’t advance too far with protection as white c-pawn runs. Black king can’t shuffle and protect a-pawn at the same time as c-pawn again starts running with help from d-pawn friend. I believe this is correct. Might be wrong though.
I wake up after about 5/6 hrs sleep ... not by choice. Or frequently at 3am.. . No matter what i want to do. The (probably) adhd brain of mine then gets on its treadmill and WONT SHUT THE HELL UP. I TRY not to pick up my phone or a book, but its the only way ive found to give my little brain monkey something to do.
Excelsior! I just thought about why this is called "Perseus' Gambit". The Knight is part of the gambit, so I *think* it's because Perseus captured Pegasus after risking life and limb, so to speak. <3
I love this. When I was about your rating i started learning end games. That is when i really started to see a real increase in my rating. This isnt as fun as learning opening traps but this is where you get those gridny wins and gain a lot of elo. You learn this stuff its going to translate into a lot of wins. I am 1500 and the people I play at my level still blow these end games. If you know this stuff you are going to crush the people at your level.
@@chesswithbill there’s a lot of wins to be had in the end game man. I blew one just today that was a winning king and pawn end game. You get those down you’re gonna gain a lot of elo.
