Hi! I am a registered nurse who is on a journey to take back my financial health. I was able to pay off 30,000 in debt 5 years ago and because I had some life changes I started to slack on budgeting and doing all the financial things which led me back into credit card debt. My goal is to pay off my credit card debt and stay out of credit card debt (pay off what i owe each month) and pay off my student loans that have been hanging over my head for two decades now. I share my personal budget, real numbers, and day to day struggles that I go through managing my finances. I’m looking to retire comfortably in the next decade so I’ve got work to do!
Hi Dee, ugh the saga continues. its not even my student loan its making me upset w all the back and forth lol. i guess AT LEAST it going down in totality lol.
Why would you call the loan services to ask advice for pay your loans 😂😂 you dummy they want you in debt ya Fool! 😂😂 they don’t want you to pay it back! Call someone who knows finances and money! Not someone who knows loans 😂😂
GM! im annoyed w navient for you! this is the crap that needs reform, like u cant even pay down the smallest loan. they are seperate but together, whatever works in their favor to keep u enslaved
Hi Dee, thanks for sharing the updates! I'm going to check out the info on the video that helped you with the calculations, they make it so hard to understand how and why the interest amounts look the way they do 😂
@@budgetfor5withstephanie Thanks for watching. I don’t know why they make it so hard but both videos are good resources you will definitely find helpful
Good luck on your student loan pay off. I recently wrote down all of my debt to see where I was at and oh boy was I surprised. I am not getting myself back on track and getting it paid down. I will have my car paid off next month so that frees up money I can use towards credit cards. Let’s work hard on these financial goals!
Yes, yes, yes to being able to tackle the student loans now 🎉 Dang 10% cash back for the car repairs?! That’s amazing! You’re doing a great job with your month ahead savings 😊
Hi, great job making progress on your student loans, Well thats a bummer that you were given incorrect info on your first call but im glad you got it straightened out and im looking forward to hearing the plan going forward.
Hi! Great job working on getting a month ahead! I need to start working on doing so also. I remember being a month ahead before and it was more peaceful than waiting a paycheck for sure 😆
Thank you for sharing your story. Yes, student loans are predatory, its sad bc most folks didnt know what students loans were or how they worked bc no one in their family ever needed them for one reason or another, so in my case, i got them bc i thought thats what i was supposed to do. im going to do everything i can to make sure my boys never get any. It sucks u cant target the smaller loan first but im glad youre able to start tackling them overall!
@@budgetfor5withstephanie Back then I thought the same that was the only way and no one before me ever did anything different. Your sons are going to benefit greatly from the wisdom and knowledge you have gained. Thanks for watching ❤️
My interest rate for my student loans is at 7.05%. But my mortgage interest rate is 6.25%. So yes, I agree with you, student loan debt is very predatory.
Love, love, love goals videos ❤ Saving 20% of your income will be so awesome! I feel like my parents didn’t start saving for retirement until later either. I really think the internet has helped with knowledge about investing. I still wish they would teach about investing in schools though! Great job 😊
@@KatieoftheHouse Hi Katie. Thank you so much and I agree. I have so much to learn with investing it should be something that’s talked about way more. I had no idea 🤷🏽♀️ that investing on my own was even an option a few years back. I’m glad that I have started
I'm catching up on your journey by watching the oldest ones first. But I have to ask why you didn't just make a few copies of The Budget Mom's sheet to get through the end of the year?
I’ve seen people talk about “mortgage 13” where you make one extra mortgage payment a year. There’s calculators online which show how much time and money doing that saves. Sounds like what you plan to do 😊
@@Sophie-jn6qq oh wow haven’t heard of that term but essentially yes that’s exactly what I plan to do. I have my amortization schedule printed but I’m going to look for that online calculator. Thanks for your feedback ❤️
Hey! Great video ❤... this algorithm is something else! I hadn't seen you pop up in my timeline and I came searching..:-)... yep I've actually had a complete switch! Went from cashless to now mostly cash...lol
Hey! thanks for stopping by and searchng. That explains a lot that Im not coming up... dang YT! I have done the opposite cashless and its going well! Happy 4th!
I am sorry to hear you went through depression with your nursing job. I once had a job I was treated unfairly and overworked at. I understand totally how you feel. Wishing you the best in life. Have a great day. 😊
