i've only ever heard this song through a fallout 4 mod that i have, so i never knew the lyrics for it and after reading them and listening to the them, holy shit is this song depressing. don't get me wrong, it's a great song, it's just depressing
I still think this version is better the one on spotify, the vocal bit at 1:40 just so much more beautiful and jazzy to me. A fantastic song, nonetheless.
Год назад прочитал этот рассказ, песню нашёл примерно так даже. И вот я снова тут, вспоминаю эту вселенную. Удивительно, что даже через год тут появиться ещё один новый комментарий.
I can say that the singer has a lot of influence in the country music genre, like Luke Bryan, Morgan Wallen, all those country singers. Or I guess the singer grew up listening to country music all the time. That is why the singer has so much influence on the genre Or my guess that the singer was probably born somewhere in Texas. So that's why he has that cowboy-ish sound once he sings, hell, he can be from Pennsylvania and has that cowboy-ish sound Or, just to be silly, the singer could be from Sweet Apple Acres. ~ God fucking damn, I sound like Anthony Fantano
I check the comments on these videos very occasionally because I love to see what folks say years later. But I wanted to answer this. I grew up in Connecticut to hippie parents. So, hippie country, sure. The Allmans, the Dead, Little Feat, etc. When I wrote this song it was more of a really old school 50s rock song, like a Buddy Holly tune or something. But really old school rock and roll was just blues and country mashed together with a backbeat, so there's that! The original is on my complete disgusting mess of a soundcloud (hamakerpony) if you're curious, though you might have to scroll down to find it. Thanks for listening all these years later.
It's a cold Monday morning. I didn't get any sleep (because I'm an idiot). The team lead is unable to make it because he just got news that his uncle might not make it. Sunday night we got news that my other coworker wasn't going to make it back in time to work today. I'm the only one showing up today, and I don't know what the game plan is for the new phase that we were going to start today. The team lead knows. It's incredibly fitting that this came up in my suggested videos. God, I'm screwed.
I finished a long Fallout 4 play session, and I was inexorably drawn back here to listen to this song. I'm playing Fallout 4 for the first time, and I'm only 15 hours in so far, and no one has died in the story (aside from the wife that dies in the first hour). Dogmeat's yelps of pain tear me apart worse than raider bullets.
this song...its so beautiful...it makes me cry whenever I listen to this is sad and somber but hopeful...this is something velvet remedy would really sing! even years after the project was defunct! this song and fallout equestria in general will always have a special place in my heart....that story got me through highschool!
I like the first half of the theme it legit sounds like it belongs in the fallout universe I just don’t like MLP or the intense part in the end it kind of changes the shift and I would’ve rather it stayed the way it was in the beginning nevertheless it’s half a masterpiece imo
I can’t describe how I feel when listening to this song, as if you find yourself in the most shocking moment of your life and are expecting a miracle, but it doesn’t happen. But you hope for the future, where it will happen.
