Hi everyone, I am an Australian who loves travelling, especially to Italy. I took a gap year (sabbatical) 7 years ago, when my husband, Des and I moved to Italy to learn the language and live like locals in Bologna. During our time away, we managed to visit some amazing places all over Italy & met some lovely people too. We fell in love with the beautiful south especially Sicily & Puglia and hope to live there one day. These videos are from our many trips and I hope you enjoy them and have a laugh with us. I left CA 3 years ago. I heard it’s getting really bad out there with crime and homelessness. Especially in SF. Did you notice a lot of businesses closed?
Hi knucklehoagies, it was very sad, especially seeing the homeless around Union Square...yes many stores are closing and we heard whilst we we there that the Westfield Shoppingtown will be closing as nearly half of the complex has closed stores.
Lecce-Gallipoli-Monopoli-Polignano a Mare-Fasano-Ostuni-Brindisi is my favourite triangle in puglia. Beautiful beaches, great food and drinks and people that know how to live very close to heaven, while still connected to their home soil. Please remember that summer-life there begins "at dusk" and work starts long before dawn.
