What's funny is there's a video floating around here of a Miss Murder performance from the first AFI show I was able to make back in 2006 (first show I had a vehicle so I could) and it's trippy because there's digital cameras EVERYWHERE. It wasn't that long before smart phones became a thing and those same phone you're talking about were only able to take super low quality photos!
Ugh I was so excited when they played this. They were amazing live. I’ve been wanting to see them since I was 13 and almost 20 years later I got my wish! Thanks for uploading this!
My pleasure! I REALLY don't like recording while at a show, but I have a friend that lives in Australia that hasn't been able to see them and I wanted her to have a small piece of this show, but I'm beyond happy to get such a positive response after sharing it with everybody else!!!
I am SO sorry! I had issues the day before, during, and day after the show, but the show itself went off perfectly. I'm REALLY hoping you feel well enough and get to attend a show much sooner than later!
@@CaptainCool336 it sucks bec the next night my ear felt slightly better and I went to the Korine show at Johnny Brenda’s. I was looking forward to AFI for so long. Such is life the last few years.
@@timmyn8575 if it's any consolation at all, I think they're still going to be around for quite a while and you should definitely have another shot at it.
I was there and was so impressed by how much Davey's live vocals have improved. I've seen them 4 or 5 times now and this was definitely their best performance.
@@johnhoffert8899 over the years he's had to adjust his range on his vocals due to changes that inevitably happen over time. He's got such a handle and control on his vocals and what he can do that it's pretty astonishing. Can he hit the throat tearing screams regularly now that he would regularly do years ago? Absolutely not, but he can do it on occasion AND it's all about adapting and preserving what you CAN do to keep going. Honestly though? I'm glad he's still able to put the work in and make something so many can enjoy and appreciate.
