@@cacarpenter55 and this one is an indefinite length. Unless, as said in the video, I have the chance to get anything recorded but will most likely be random things when I do. Also, apologies if you've sent any messages over on messenger and wondered why no reply. I just deactived everything. Actually feels weird still not being on facebook!! Sláinte 🍻
@@granvillewright4115 hopefully there's some news soon on the next game. Although, I can't see it being enough to resurrect the channel. So might just stick with casual uploads of different games, and people want to watch, it's there to do so.
@@North47 In 2K's Quarterly filing ... zero mention of a 2K25 for this year, but it did note - Disappointing sales for 2K23 Also, that a TGC game does not appear on HB Studios Product Roadmap Hate to use baseball analogy - But that sure sounds like 3 Strikes ???
The views on the channel have not been great for a while now. The best video I've done recently in terms of views was the GTA Online Cayo Perico Heist. Initially after starting the channel years ago I wanted it to be a "variety" channel meaning I would upload anything, but I got myself trapped into the "specific content" kind of channel. At the moment I'm finding it quite difficult to get videos recorded for a number of different reasons, so if I have the time I'm just recording gameplay (with or without commentary) and uploading that. But as I said at the start, the views are not great and that's lead to a severe lack of motivation to do course reviews/playthroughs. There will quite possibly be at least gameplay rounds uploaded, but at the moment it's unclear where the channel is headed. There are so many more channels out there that produce content much better than my own, and with the current circumstances of work and private life, I feel my content is just lost in the dark compared to the countless other channels available. I will still be uploading, but it will be random games/content, and at completly random times also. Sorry to disappoint with the lack of course reviews, but just know that there is a lot more going on in the background than people know which makes it quite difficult for me to properly make videos at the moment. Hopefully things will change soon though.
@@North47 Thanks for the detailed reply. It's like you needed to vent it out and I'm glad I could be here for that. Yeah, I know your struggle is real. I've watched and listened to your videos. I've also read your messages and feel your pain. Yes, I miss your reviews, but you need to do what's right for you. Take care, have fun.
@@bpierce4884 thanks for understanding, and apologies if my reply came across in any sort of angry way also. Currently rendering a channel update video that I'd managed to get recorded a few days ago. Pretty much going over what I said in my reply to you. That should (hopefully) be published sometime tomorrow evening if everything goes as planned. And also thank you for your support on the channel once again, it truly is very much appreciated.
There possibly will be. But at the moment I just have no motivation to do any as the views are bad, not just with those videos but with pretty much anything I upload. The Cayo Perico Heist video I uploaded has actually done the best in quite a while. I've done a channel update video but not uploaded it yet, so may scrap it and remake it when I get the chance. But as well as not having motivation, it's also the time to make video also. This video, and again the Cayo Perico one, were just spur of the moment videos where I managed to have some time to record them.
@@NoahTikeMysonBenjamin Thanks Noah, I just decided to do it spur of the moment while had the chance and haven't seen many videos showing a full run from start to finish without any cuts. STILL working on the other video I'd mentioned in this one! Not sure when I'll get that out though.
Hi Craze! Thank you for the feedback, very much appreciated!! To be honest, I wish I knew. I think it's due to mainly doing PGA Tour 2K content, and that game has (well for me anyway), died right down for views. But it doesn't seem to matter what I upload!🤷♂️ which is why I'm nearly finished getting a channel update video done explaining what's going to happen with the channel. Thank you again for your feedback, delighted you enjoyed the video, and any other content on the channel you may have watched also.
Hi Rory, thank you for the feedback. It's grrat that these videos still hold up and the game mechanics haven't changed all that much!! With swing timing (I think I mentioned that in a 2K21 video, but still applies for 2K23 also), there's 2 things I do myself visually for cues.... The first is to take a "practice swing" by just bringing the club to the top of the backswing and watch where on the screen it stops. While keeping your eyes on that position, let go of the stick to address the ball again. Then, when taking the actual swing, once the club reaches that point again let it stay for a slight fraction of a second and then push forward at a decent speed. It may take a little to get the best speed at which to push forward to find the optimal timing. But once your shots are only barely to the left (fast) or right (slow) of the perfect zone you can then just adjust for any slight draw or fade the shot takes depending on which is the more common speed you get. The second plays along with the first. When the club reaches the top of the backswing, watch your shot feedback on the right of the screen. What you'll notice is, that the swing line in the circle "pinches" in when you reach the top of the swing. This is another good indicator of when to push forward. Another great help for getting consistent timing, is to play with your controller wired. Even though we've been in the wireless generation for a number of years, wired is still best for consistency as you will eliminate any input lag on the controller, especially as the battery drains. If you're on PS4/PS5, in the system settings go to accessories, then controller (general). In those options you should see one for communication method. Change that to usb cable. Then instead of only charging the controller while it's wired, you'll cut out the bluetooth completely. No need to change it everytime either, as it will revert back and forth itself whenever you remove and connect the cable.
@@rorylennon3338 nice!!! And no problem at all, more than happy to help. Another little tip I'll give, which I have mentioned before in videos but can't remember which ones....when playing in any society event or TGCTours, do NOT let yourself see the leaderboard that comes up between holes and before as well as at the end of each round. Whether you're just playing well, or have even the slightest bit of a competitive streak in you....if you let yourself see roughly what you need to shoot to either get a win or place around a certain area on the leaderboard, you'll start making errors trying to catch that particular score.
Hi Smudge! Apologies for the late reply, I wasn't well for a number of weeks and now just not finding the time to record. Not sure when I'll be recording next exactly but will certainly check it out.
Hi Rory! I hope you're enjoying the game so far, and maybe also the content here on the channel? It was quite a while ago that I uploaded this video, so can't remember. But there is possibly something for shot type in there. Pretty sure I covered as much as I could think of, although the description does say I forgot mention a couple of things. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Gl6LKO8ZvLM.html
As long as I'm not the only one!!! So true, there is nothing worse, especially if you got on in 2 and still come away with at least a single bogie! It's that type that would have me throwing the bag into the closest body of water!! lol
Oh shucks my new course was on page 37 last checked, loch kermui. There now over 120 pages top rated 4 and half star courses wow . Which is a testament to standards being publlished, that 4 star courses which are still good so far down the pages. Hb got alot top courses that they could make official for next version to enhance career mode. Obviously not all could as some par 3, lidar or real. But all fantasy courses rated 4 half stars could be made official. Would make career with there real courses not repetitive. I would love you do trusim i enjoyed it. But newer designs some dont plan the course to work in trusim. You would have to test it first. On ea they should brought out the designer it was not an easy course designer but would have given longevity to the game. I never understand the game industry against modding. Some developers have embraced it usually small developers.
Hey Vlad!! Foe the next random number, I might be daring and try between 1 and 100 for a laugh!! My sanity might go out the window if it's a high number though, with how long it can take to get through the pages!🤣 would be nice if there was a "search page number" option!! But I definitely feel the highly rated section is the best to go with over the recently added! I'll note down the name of your course and try get a review/playthrough of it done soon. I have one ready to edit and another to do first, so maybe about a week, if all goes to plan. Yeah I think a lot newer designers aren't thinking of truesim when designing. Which is a shame, because their courses can be very good, but some slopes (whether fairway or greens) can be a little towards the extreme side that would make truesim very difficult to play!! You hit the nail on the head there about mods in games! I see no reason why devs shouldn't allow them, that's why I love when they do be added, especially on console!! As long as it's not a full on competitive game where people can gain unfair advantages, they should be allowed across all platforms. They can bring a much needed breath of life to a game. The likes of Skyrim being an example!! But but publishers like EA, just want as much money as they can get from people! I'm glad that 2K realised what the main attraction for The Golf Club games was, being the designer, and kept it when they took over as publisher! I just have a fear that, should the next game change game engines, will it be a case that, for stability reasons possibly, the designer gets taken out at least on console?! I hope not!!
@@North47 thank you agreed small oversite by hb not to allow jump pages. I also wish they got tgctours course list, hb needs to cater it abit. Thanks for scheduling a not the toughest but if get in wrong areas its got teeth. 17 is a risk reward hole. Agreed about ea and modding good example transport fever 2 its modding immense.
Hey. Will you check out Me and Steve Manleys newest collaboration called Snake River, Wyoming. You played our first one called Crooked Cypress. If you want to also check out our other ones we designed together please do. Lake Osaka East, Japan. Lake Osaka West, Japan. Old Berry Hill. Thanks!!
Hey Mike, funnily enough I've got Snake River lined up to be next!! Loved the screenshots of it I saw on facebook, so can't wait to see what you both came up with! Hopefully either tomorrow or Friday I can get it recorded. Should be live by Saturday evening. I think I played Lake Osaka in a society not long ago! Not sure which one it was though!🤔
Thanks pierce, I'm going to be trying some other content on the channel very soon too and see how that does. Have another course ready to record first though. Yeah it has a good challenge to it. I'm going to have to remember to do that in each video!! I always forget!
Got to admit I just won the Master’s tournament in my first season with difficulty set to 50%. My plan is to complete the first Season at 50% then gradually increase the difficulty as the seasons go on…
Thanks Steven. At the moment not too bad, still out of whack with the sleeping but slowly getting that to where I'm getting a somewhat "decent" amount each night. But tackling each thing one at a time.
@@North47 rain music it works for me sometimes when I try to go to bed I work nights also try camomile tea if you got some in the house You got this brother stay strong eh
@@stevenjames7645 I must give those a try! In regards to soothing sounds though, I have 3 cats and 2 of them have the habit of curling up beside me each night and purring away. Do find the sound of their purrs very relaxing.
At least you use a controller, unlike those other clowns and on proper settings. <Highlands for all> Upu should never be 13 under inbone round. This is proper golf on an excellent course. I respect this video with a +5 much more than clown videos on RU-vid.
Thank you. I've always used the default/stock controllers that come with my consoles. In saying that, I've no problem with people using 3rd party ones, on one condition!!....if it gains them an advantage (like perfect lines or tempo), they keep it to offline or career mode and not in competitive play. There are a good number of times where I've shot -13 or lower on camera as well as off camera. But all done the same as in this video. Just some courses play a lot easier, and can be in the zone and every shot is on point.
Hi Shane, and thank you for the feedback!! Vey much appreciated. I just hope that in the next game, there will in some way, be the addition of a freecam/photo mode on console, which will allow us to have a much better look around courses and at smaller details that designers may have included.
@@North47 yeah I never understood that, why us guys on PC can do flyovers and they didn't add that to consoles???? It makes no sense why they left that out for you guys... If you ever want to play my latest course, it's called "Le Grand Michigan"... But if you have too many other courses to play then that's cool too. Thanks and I enjoy the videos
@@Shane2sweet1 if I remember correct from what jimgem has said a few times....I believe it was part of the dev tool prior to TGC1's release that was left in on the PC version by mistake. And PC players and content creators requested it to stay. But yeah, something needs to be added for console. So many other games allow some form of photo mode it seems crazy not to, for designers in particular to showcase parts of a course when promoting it on social media etc! Yeah that's no problem, more than happy to check it out!! Not sure exactly when I'll get round to it though. Have one going to publish either tomorrow or Wednesday (depending on RU-vid's speed of processing it), and have 1 more course lined up for a playthrough. But hopefully within the next week, if that's not too long?
Kind of a dumb question, im new to game, im on like my third match... The nevada course on Korn Ferry... after im done with this, is there a way for me to do this as an amatuer? I thought i read somewhere if you won 3 events as an amatuer you get a pga tour card automatically? I just wanna know how i can play some of these big events as an amatuer for the achievements... i know they dont explain stuff very well in this game to newbies, but what am i missing?
Hi eet, apologies for the very late reply!! To be honest, I genuinely cannot remember how to, or if you can play them as an amatuer apart from The Masters event! Don't really play this anymore, but from what I understand, people are still having trouble also, with being able to play the alternate events for those challenges too. Regardless of what they do, still qualifying for the main events! Hopefully, if not already or underway, those issues can be addressed. Sorry I couldn't be of anymore help!
Hey! I know you said your not that active on Twitter, but longhaven highlands south is now completed! I’ll let you know when the tgc forums post is completed with all the names of holes too.
Hi Jack, apologies for the very late reply!! Yeah, I haven't been in twitter for a while now. I've finished a playthrough of Longhaven South, and currently uploading it. Depending on how long RU-vid takes to process it, it will be live hopefully by Wednesday afternoon/evening. Without spoiling things....gave me quite the challenge!! Great course, and look forward to the final of the Longhaven courses when it's finished!
The one with the chimney? That one wasn't actually too bad and didn't last long. Just very unlucky for my neighbour whose house got struck....and also for my PS3's HDMI port! But the weather we've been getting lately is messed up, and the storms are lasting much longer and more aggresive if that's the way to put it.
@@North47 hey! my new course is out, as well as the tgc forums post with the names now, if you wanted to do a playthrough of it! teh name under tgc forums post is Longhaven Highlands South!
I'm going to run a poll in the next day or 2 on the community tab with some or all of the games I listed in the video. See what people may be interested. I've been spending a lot of time on Train Sim World 3 though since getting that!
