Thanks for sharing this video! Great mix of engines there, I’m from cornwall but do recognise some of them. I take it that the place is now being sold?
Not sure, all that's known is that this is supposed to be the 'final' Steam Rally. I think the one you may be referring to is Tarrant Hinton (Great Dorset Steam Fair)
Hi Adam, i was the Guard on Flying Scotsman all Day on Sunday 10th September...In Your opening clip as She returned to Bishops Lydeard We had stopped on Wet Rails at Stones Wood,..before Roebuck level Crossing...but thanks to the skill of our Driver he managed to get her going again..after a bit of Sanding......Steve.
I have made plenty of visits to Cambridge, over the years. This was the first time I went during the Town & Country Show - The organiser went into administration because of the pandemic, so I've no idea about the fate of the show, but might attend the show IF it's still being held next year
Thanks for the video,It gave a good view of whats on show at the Great Dorset but,That is the worst camera work i've ever seen,1/4 the video is looking at the grass,1/4 the video is random people's backs,1/4 the video is running between exhibits and the last quarter shows clips showing halfs of steam engines....
@marcellanz01 Don't worry, there's always next year. Had it not been for the accessibility by public transport, attending this wonderful event would have been just a dream for me.
Awesome show, I just got back from it, if I had known you was going to record it I would have stayed at home and watched it on RU-vid and saved myself all that walking ;)
