Great lecture by Neil McGregor. Interesting comments by the ambassador regarding the lack of coverage of this project in the British media. Unfortunately, BREXIT has resulted in a rise in British nationalism which has been grasped with both hands by the current line up in the Tory Party and eagerly led by the PM. We can only hope that the results following Thursday's poll will temper this drive to isolate Britain from it's friends and neighbours. At a time such as this there is a need for the Humboldt Forum and everything that it stands for.
Interesting interview - The Zero Set album mentioned was one that I remember too - is very good. Though I think that during this interview the track 'Two Old Timers' might have been good to play softly in the background. LOL There was another 80's band that went by the name of Propaganda that was also produced by Conny if my ear are correct. Also worked with Peter Baumann at some stage. He was a great producer and I agree with his sons conclusion, that when you hear the original recordings today that they are quite timeless and have stood the test of time. Now that is what is called a classic. Conny made classics. May he rest in peace Thanks for uploading this - good memories
