Apparently the chick fell out of the nest and landed on my balcony. Wings that are too short do not allow him to fly. I need to feed him for about 2 weeks for his wings to grow so he can return to the wild. However, there is a problem: feeding him without an assistant is extremely difficult...

Today ...29-08-2024... My uncle gave me this ... which is so wet and also unable to fly ... I took it and bring it to my home...but it's still wet and just climbed on the wall of cage ... IN SHAA ALLAH soon she will be fine ... ❤

@@hamzaashrafansari336 Better use a box for him! The cage can damage his wings. Good luck with your little chick!

What did u do to the workers? Im afraid they would kill my queen
@vietaIek
@vietaIek Месяц назад
(im too lazy to translate to eng, sorry)
@matemagyarosi5694
@matemagyarosi5694 Месяц назад
@@vietaIek does their pheromone not interfere? I was suggested to separate them for 1-2 weeks so their pheromone gets off before introducing them to my queen. Thanks for the info btw, appreciate you!!

nice video keep it going 👍 just a question is formica prantensis parasitic species ?
@user-yr4tr6pv2e
@user-yr4tr6pv2e Месяц назад
It is. The Formica pratensis is also known as the slave maker ant for the queen and workers going to other Formica cousin species and the Formica prantenis queen kills the other Formica cousin species queen and takes her smell identity of the Formica cousin species and now she rules the colony

where did you find the queen? nice footage tho, ants are having flights globally so no need to dig up a colony right now, now is the peak time of ants mating all over the world, so you can catch your own queen, and dug up colonies might have risks
@Close-up_view
@Close-up_view 3 месяца назад
I found the queen alone a few meters from the anthill. The anthill is not disturbed. I only caught about two dozen workers.

mossyverse! They look so cute!! from paste from u/doctorhermitcrab: Good vegetables to feed include zucchini, eggplant, squash, kale, collards, bok choy, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, carrot, turnip, mushrooms, green beans, and herbs like basil. Sweet foods should be fed every 5 days as snacks minimum, dont feed them avacado, celery cuz they can block the calcium intake, and for protein you can give them crushed feeder bugs, or bloodworms, and for calcium its better to use cuttlefish bone cuz its hard for them to digest eggshells. I hope your snails have a good!

hey, i think the colony is a bit too small for live feedings, and feeding slimy bugs can often be really dangerous for ants, try pre-crushed insects, or frozen insects, and live prey getting inside their nest can also be very risky causing injury or death to the brood or queen, when the colony gets to around 500 can do some live feedings, i love your vid, good luck on your channel! happy to see more in this hobby

nice vid thank you for this, colony looks pretty healthy, I'm glad to see more join this hobby, pls don't spin your colony like that, gives me anxiety, try to reduce vibrations and unnecessary stress because it can stop the queen from laying eggs or for even days
@Close-up_view
@Close-up_view 5 месяцев назад
Ok. Less stress of spinning. Can I get an advice ? When I turn on the lights for video, ants leaving arena immediately. How to cope with it ?
@FloridaAnting
@FloridaAnting 5 месяцев назад
its fine, they'll just be freaked for a little, and calm down later, if too often the queen can feel unsafe and stop laying eggs, once the colony becomes larger they'll get less stressed, I wish luck for your colony, hope they'll one day be a huge thriving empire!@@Close-up_view
