Hello! I’m Gluten Free Gina. Join me as I find and review all the GF, GF/DF, and GF/vegan food DISNEY World and Universal Studios has to offer. Come along on my adventures through the parks, resorts, festivals, and table service restaurants. Some reviews will feature both adult and kiddo information to help your family plan what to eat and where to get it. Welcome!! I’m thrilled you’re here! Cheers 🥂
Hey There! Thank you doing all of these, and all of the research and planning that goes into this! Do you call anyone particular when visiting WDW and checking on GF/DF inside things that are quick service or booths at festivals?
@@ReadingWithBrandy while Disney will label items that are natural GF in their on line menus, they do not label for DF. This is why I go to the parks to meet with people in person to find out what overlap there is. I’ll then create these videos and guides to help you on your visit 😃 I also have a detailed guide for every quick serve, table service, and snack stand in the parks on my site at www.glutenfreewdw.com/shop
This was a great video and so well edited! We are not coeliac, but vegan, and found you through Melissa. Love your humour and appreciated the general advice for our upcoming cruises!
Hey, thanks for filming these. They're helping me plan for our family holiday with our Coeliac kiddo I just wondered how you get to know about 'secret menu' items?! I just want to make sure my son doesn't miss out on anything he'd potentially like to try, as this will likely be a once in a lifetime trip for us! Thank you!
Secret items are so tough. Honestly, I know about them because I’m fortunate to be in the parks several times a month and I ask a lot of questions. I also have several celiac friends who find information out and we all share with each other. If you are thinking this is a big once in a lifetime trip, I would highly recommend purchasing my guide at the link below. I list all restaurants, quick serve, and snack stands along with any secret items I’ve found and any modifications that can be done. ❤
They were GF/DF. I labeled them as such on the video. The baby was just asking if they’re vegan because she asks that about anything we eat 😂. I did not ask to be sure if they were also vegan, though I wouldn’t be surprised if they were. We have gotten GF/vegan marshmallows around Disney property when attending campfires!
We are going to Epcot in a few weeks for our Anniversary. I will check them out, looks like a nice place. I've even to Epcot a lot but haven't had the best luck food wise. Those chips look crazy, wow. I cant eat fried right now. 😢❤❤
There are soooo many good places at Epcot. If you need some special recommendations please reach out! So very happy to help made it as amazing as possible.
@glutenfreedisneyworld Thank you. We are really picky. I'm going to research this week so I will definitely check with you if I need too. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this review! I'm on my way to Epcot for the first time since...1984...LOL. I'm now GF and chose this restaurant because I usually do well with Mexican for modifications. The selections you share look amazing! I'm know ooking forward to the experience. Just subbed to learn more about GF options at Disney. Thank you!
How wonderful!!! I’m so excited for your trip!! If you are interested, I have an Instagram account where I share soooo much of the GF Disney food. You are welcome to join us 😃
I know that you do your research so I obviously trust you, but is it posted anywhere that those cupcakes are gluten free? I have only ever seen on the signs/online that they are plant based
Unfortunately, it is not posted anywhere. I don’t think any of the desserts like this have been 😞. These particular cupcakes came out a few years ago. They keep the same recipe and change the decor on them to reflect the season/holiday. We have checked with a chef every time we’ve gotten one to be sure and they are always standard GF/vegan 😊!
I’m having such a hard time because I find videos like these but then when I look at their menu none of this stuff is listed on the allergy menu. They don’t have meatballs at all and the churros are not listed as gluten free. It makes planning impossible :( unless I just have to ask in person for these items?
That can be tough and frustrating! In this case, the churros were on the GF menu until recently. They used to only have GF churros and decided to change that. Now they are still available, but you have to ask for them. The meatballs are on the kids menu at the restaurant, but not in the app. This does happen at times. Also, when you are there in person you can often get items not listed on the GF menu modified so you can eat them! It’s a real perk. ❤ If you use IG you can find me on there. I will cover secret menu items whenever I find them 🎉
This is so helpful! I’m celiac and we’re going at the end of February (during Mardi Gras) so this is giving me good ideas! I was worried I wouldn’t be able to eat anything but it looks like there’s a lot of options! Thanks so much for posting this!!
Thank you for the GF info but you really should be nicer to your sweet daughter~ constantly making fun of her when she’s having very little fun btw while you drink around Epcot ,is not pleasant to watch. Enjoy their ages, it goes quick:(
Aww. So sweet of you to be concerned about her. It may seem as though by watching about 5 min of footage in one video you now intimately know how I parent, treat my daughter, and her overall level of happiness, but be assured you do not. You are welcome to not watch our videos or follow us. It’s not required to be here. And as a reminder, we never know others lives from what is displayed on social media. I hope you have a lovely day and find the peace and kindness you are looking for.
@saraa.1412- do you go around other peoples’ RU-vid and criticize how they live their life? I guess misery loves miserable company that you have to make yourself feel better by putting others down. Here’s a word of advice- if you have nothing nice to say- don’t say anything at all (quote from Disney’s Bambi)
Thank you!! I feel ready to head to the festival next weekend. Since little Miss didn’t try the sesame balls should I assume they have dairy? You probably said so and I just missed it.
Oh I am so excited! There are so many options! Thank you so much for posting this information. Question about the Dream Puffs...how heavy of a rosemary taste do they have?
How does the family style work if you have one gf person? Do they bring out separate plates just for the one gf person and the regular food for the rest of the table? Or does everyone have to eat gluten free for the family style restaurants? This is a great video by the way, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the kind feedback :). If you have only one then they will bring yours out separately. There were a few items that are naturally GF as is, and those were brought for the table. My family had me get mine first from those plates to limit any cc. It's quite nice to get your own plates FULL of food!!
Our last trip we took the boat from Disney Springs just to get these GF Beignets! It was a Friday night and they had live music in the lounge. What a perfect evening… and those beignets..!!!
We got back from our family WDW trip two weeks ago. We caught the end of the Food & Wine. Your 2023 Food & Wine videos were the most helpful for my GF/DF wife. Wish we could get back and try the Festival of the Holidays! Looks like so much fun!
I saw the ingredient list and they were all marked GF. In France they added the drinks to their allergy sheet. Definitely ask at the register when you order so you can also check. The allergy sheets are right there ❤
Oooh! Manhattan sours are my favorite cocktail but Manischewitz is the perfect Hanukkah spin! Also- my 9 yr old agrees- Preston and Unspeakable are the best.
Hi dear, Your video content is really good. You have enough of the videos but your video is not getting views because there is some problem with your videos. Your SEO score is very poor, Your description writing is not professional your tag search value is very poor. and you need optimization for better results. If you update the videos then the views of the video will increase. If you want you can discuss it with me. Thanks,
Gina, thanks so much for your video! We're heading there next week and am planning our meals! You do a great job -- you are fun, cute, and quirky. Keep up the good work.
A manager trained in the GF items came to help and anything she was unsure of she asked the chef about first. ❤. Unfortunately, there were no GF labels on the menu and no separate allergy menu.
Great question!! They did have GF soy sauce they gave us. My friend used it. I’m strange like that and I don’t enjoy using soy sauce at all on my sushi so I skipped it. But it was definitely there if you wanted it 😊
Absolutely! If you scroll to the bottom of the page there are guides for both Universal and Islands of Adventure 😊. There is also a button at the top that reads “Universal” to bring you right to them.
What a smart idea getting the toppings on the side. That's a great idea to make your own tapas. Those taquitos looked nice. Gotta try those next time too. Great video!
Absolirely you could! We do that sometimes for my husband as well. I think the main difference is non-GF get a cinnamon loaf rather than allergy blueberry muffins.
Thanks for the video super helpful! So I am GF and hate taking yummy things away from my husband by making him share with me, so they could bring us both platters? A GF for me and a non for him? I was worried about how it will work when we dine there next month
