Ben, I recently tried the MT-XR and found nothing. I noticed it is very inconsistant as compared to the Equinox. I expect I will buy one for my grandson as a starter unit. At 15 he needs another toy beside his cell phone. Thanks for the video and looking forward to the next one. Bob
I go to gold2, which I alternate with the field2 program and I have it set according to my profile, because of the sound for the given ID. I hardly use other programs, unless there is a more serious problem. The only thing that matters to me anymore is the correctly set recovery speed for the given location. I think this is something that many searchers miss. More videos about Recovery speed in the field would be useful for the minelab community. 😏👌
What do you think of the Minelab Vanquish 250? I've seen quite a few reviews on hers of the Dr Otek saying it's rubbish at Pinpointing and very vague. This will be my first detector, many thanks Vivienne
I watched this video as I was looking at a cheaper metal detector just to see if I can do this like I did 40 years ago with an old radio shack detector…. This does way more than that one did back then
I been using field 1, but i been doing a lot of farm land exploring. I have not tried a park field yet. I still get nails and lead chunks, but i think going for copper coins that are deep it will happen.. Somtimes i wait for a lot of rain to soak the ground, and spots that i been over before i found new coins. I bet if the ground is wet, my equinox can do a good 7-9 inches, just have to slow down when you get a good blimp or a chirp on the machine and go over it a lot, then you can get the deeper targets i feel like.

This video was a huge teaching tool. I just got one of these. Did a test run in my parents back yard and got a few signals like this, switching to 4hz really cleans those signals up. Thanks
i had one of these DrOtek detectors... turd does not begin to encompass the quality of it... laid a couple quarters and a gold chain in the front yard and it wouldn't detect them with the coil literally touching them... fortunately amazon returns work really well...
happens man end of the day its his property but as soon as he said anything about selling it. i probably would say well in that case ill let you buy a detector put in the time and efort to find them yourself. then bid him a good day and move on.
Custom meaning I set the disc how I like it. I notch out certain segments that I don't like to hear or dig. These days I run wide open with no discrimination most the time. Unless the area is so trashy that I get overloaded with signals.
I run multi most times and switch to 4k to check deep signals. But I believe in this video I was running 4k most the hunt in an area I had found very deep silver in the past.

When digging that close to your finds almost always guarantees a scratch. Dig your holes a little wider and try and come up from under your target will be better. Thanks for sharing at 4 khz
Not yet. I am very happy with my 800 and deus 2. Probably won't buy a new machine unless they release completely new technology. Most detectors now using multi frequency are all very close in tech specs and ability.
