They tore down the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach, but before that I got to see Jimmy Ibbotson with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in the 1970's. He invited us to his house in Topanga Canyon, where we visited for a few hours. I think I was maybe 16 years old, but I did go with my mom and friends.

Very interesting! I love this video. Learning about the challenges with the crevices, the soft snow, the tractors, the skis, etc. It's all great stuff, especially if you have any interest in physics, geology, or engineering. This video is a gem, I'm disappointed it hasn't gotten more views. I find the video oddly comforting as well - for some reason I can't quite put my finger on, maybe it's the feeling of lots of open space and freedom, like a new frontier.

Wow I love the fact that Aretha Franklin also played in Nashville and I think she’s loved Nashville more a lot than Memphis where she’s from and Nashville for Aretha did feel like her old life and how much a lot of our favorite artists live in Nashville and I bet Aretha loves that as well and some people in Nashville did ask Aretha Franklin if she’s from Nashville and she corrected them saying no I’m from Memphis considering I’m the Queen Of Soul and I do Rock and Roll all the time and Blues and Gospel and Reggae but Nashville feels like my old life knowing that I’m a Tennessee Native and y’all keep rocking to me I love y’all as Aretha Franklin told them and I tell you she is my favorite Soul Artist I love her so much glad she’s from Memphis and she’s the best Soul singer in the world the Queen Of Soul I love her awesome work in Soul it’s so fun

Pathetic that there are only 5 comments here. The most talented woman in Country Music in the 90's as far as I'm concerned and one of the most beautiful. She could literally sing rings around most people. I loved her so very much. She was very special, and Nashville repeatedly screwed her over and her record labels failed her. She should have and could have been one of the biggest Stars of that era. There should be millions or views and Thousands of comments here. Lari was a phenomenal entertainer and song writer. I always wanted to see her and her husband record an album as a Duo and call it "White Cannon".
This one was going to be difficult for me to listen too. The late Lari White whom I loved dearly sang this song back in 1998 on the George Jones Show in honor of Tammy Wynette. Nothing against, Tammy she's a legend but I personally thought that Lari eclipsed the original. I didn't think that anyone could have sung that song any better. You can find the footage on RU-vid if you want to make your own comparison. Anyway, I just started listening to Mandy's rendition of this. The jury is still out. I know Her's will be excellent though.
Just in case you thought the title “Piano Man” came from his best known song. He has chops. If he played against Keith Emerson & Chick Correa, I am not sure who would come out on top
