I never new that John thought it randomly gave it to you. Last machine I ever played with my dear dad in our local before him passing.love to play it again. Great video Chris.
The Big Game is another one that I never saw in the wild. The artwork is very similar to the first(?) MPU4 Clubber - Multistake and Stake Up - so this probably was the last in the MPU3 era; judging by the sounds. I might be wrong. Thanks for posting yet more memories.
Great video, Chris. Shame strike a nudge was unplayable. I really would have loved to see that again. Remember playing it in Brighton in the mid-80s. Loved seeing the little man with his hammer when you got nudges.
Loved Sidewinder, especially the time it randomly emptied itself as I was walking past. Just occurred to me that the arrows should really be pointing sideways really. There was another video fruit machine that came before Sidewinder that had a row of buttons and a space invaders game built in, you had to shoot the money using the row of (yellow) plastic buttons - 10p per "invader" shot. My memory is fuzzy on it, even though I must have spent hours watching it. I can't remember the name and I imagine it would be very hard to find, the only one I saw was in the same arcade as Sidewinder.
@@replay6896 second try at a reply...something weird happening with RU-vid. Yes! You're right, I found an image of the flyer on Pinterest via Google. Thank you!
The £4 version would put when traded cash for nudges it would put them on the right hand side and do smash or grab on them and wouldn't save them to piggy bank and would only let you trade jackpot once for unlimited nudges
frist fruit machine was better than actual fruit machines programed for grpahical that i saw until the moment , made with unity or others languagues, have all details of reels , 3d effect, the bounce when stop , amazing programers
I bought the A3 datasheet for this machine off eBay recently as a Snappy one was not available. Since both are MPU3s, I thought it would be close enough. I can pass it to you if your friend would like it, but he probably knows all of it anyway 🤡
That Sidewinder (and Spellbound) were ahead of their time, in 1982/3 when they were out. Strange to relate that we never saw any more video fruit machines after them until now, really, when they're all video thieves and boring to play. The Strike Nudge i think was built by a company called marian electronics
More memories revived but not all of them profitable. Heck....... Pub closing. Time to head 🏡 and grab food because my bum is in danger of eat a hole in my pants 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely fantastic collection it reminds me of a good old school arcade back in the 80s I can just here the sounds and clatter of the coins in the payout trays. The very first machine me and my dad bought back in the late 80's was a super adders and ladders payed £75 sold it a few years later along with a few others. Started collecting again a few year's ago and as you know Chris it's a very expensive hobby if only we new then what we know now. How long as your mate been collecting
