Used the story as bedtime story. I’m not familiar with Juliet Stevenson, but she has exact the right voice. Something soothing and calming. Just like the man of Forensic Files, who is famous for it. But here it’s not only the voice it’s also the author. The way Christie writes has a relaxing effect. There is even research done why that is. BTW She is using the “Evil Under The Sun” trick. Including the hat to cover the face.
Irritating background noise. Sounds like Gregorian chants. It’s unsettling. Hard to concentrate on the story. Better than the awful piano though. If you must add background noise make it a crackling log fire. That’s where they are sitting after all!
Please do a version without background music. I agree the music is irritating and distracting. I couldn’t listen. Such a shame. It doesn’t add anything. In fact it is incompatible with the story.
Absolutely love short stories. This narrator is very good 😊. I don't mind the music so much but it's the DING! DING! at the end of every story. I was woken with a start! Do not use this series to go to sleep with. Unnecessary indeed ‼️😮
