Everybody visited HARVARD SQ in the 1950'S and 60's 'cause they all could afford to eat there, shop there. go to the movies, etc. Now the price of all of that has gone out of sight so much that the average worker can't afford to eat out at any of the restaurants.
Back in the 1940's and 50's, my friends and I would frequent the restaurants and the UNIVERSITY THEATRE in HARVARD square at least a few times a week and I also had a pretty girlfriend with long blond hair that would also join us enjoying our youth together. Those were the best YEARS of my life now that I look back in time for the happiness that is now gone in my old age of 90 years. Oh well !
I can loviningly remember CENTRAL SQ. way back in the middle 1940's and all of the 50's. We frequented the CENTRAL SQ. theatre and all department stores had Luncheonettes where you could buy breakfast or lunch for 50 CENTS. It was on the corner of PROSPECT ST. and MASS. AVE where I tasted my first HAMBURGER in the 50's. ( WIMPY'S ) Very little crime also from average citizens.

Of the 310 low and no alcohol free beers that I've tried, Adnams Ghost Ship, Brulo Dry Hopped Stout, Athletic Brewing Company Run Wild, Drop Bear Bonfire Stout, Harvey's Old Ale - Low Alcohol, Lowtide Brewing Brune DMC Alcohol Free Beer , Samuel Smith’s Sams Brown Ale and Vandestreek Hard Pour Coffee Nitro Stout are all 10/10 beers. If lager is your tiple then the best AF lagers in my opinion are, Flensburger Frei, Konig Pilsener Alkoholfrei, Kulmbacher Edelherb Alkoholfrei, Menabrea Zero Zero and Lucky Saint Superior Unfiltered Draught Lager if you can find it. The Lucky Saint is the only draught AF beer I've found. I had it in The Croocked Billet at Leigh-On-Sea.
