Yes, I feel that other students of the judges have gone 2 the finals when in my heart I know that they were not as good as us. Then directly after the comp. I see them all buddy buddy with the judge, kinda messed up, but I just have 2 accept the fact that , that's the way it is and there is little that I can do about it. ...Just know in my heart that I did my best.
The exact reason why it is not in the Olympics, Cheating is cheating no matter your motif. Put the furthering of dancing ahead of greed and profit and we all come out better. This taking care of my students is just another nail in the coffin of Ballroom dancing. Why would you not want to have your students know where they really stand in a comp instead of where you are going to artificially place them? Either because you are afraid they will think another teacher is better or it is just for pure profit? In the end the student has no idea where they truly are and others start going to every judge for a lesson to get marks. Shame on those who care more about their own ego and pocketbook at the cost of Ballroom dancing. We will add your name to the gravestone as reason for death.
so agree with you. i felt that too. especially the hometown where the competition takes place. most of their couples get high ranks. I always say to myself that I have to dance better than myself. hoping too much about being the best in a competition is a purely gambling. let the people see and judge the best of us. let us win the spectators' heart :) not the judges. Latin is also way too crowded and too tight. so it is even more difficult. cheating is everywhere, the non-objective stuffs. just dance and listen to your heart :)
