Uber comes up right on your phone and calculates it for you so you don’t need to carry any extra money on the ride if you don’t want. I normally tip 20% for both but for short rides that are only $7-10 dollars I’ll tip 50-80% typically but totally up to you and how your driver/waiter is.
We've heard that each adult can bring a bottle of wine on board. Is the expectation that you can only drink in your room? Can you bring your bottle of wine to the dining room?
Yes you can each bring your own bottle but if you drink it in a public area like the dining room there is a $15 cork fee each. If it were me then I would save it for the room and just buy a glass for $9 at dinner 🍾 have fun!
Do you mind sharing with me what package you chose?? With any of them it doesn't mention food provided at the reception. I notice with all of them you do need to book a photographer and DJ and a dance floor?
Hello! This was the strawberry package. You get dinner with that package and a cake plus open bar and servers. The photographer and DJ were extra but you do have an option to just have a playlist. If you want a dance floor you also have to pay extra for that, but if you’re not on the beach I don’t think it’s necessary. We all just danced in the open area at the semi outside/covered location.
You rent theirs so if you want to do it at your own leisure and multiple times then yes! But if you don’t have a lot of space or weight for your luggage, you will be okay with theirs

I’ve never done the casino besides $20 or so until my last cruise on icon two weeks ago. Spent 200, won $800. Safe to say I’m hooked now 🫣 lol i did record this time
I’m sorry this video is coming on 4 years old. I have not been to this resort since. Was any of it open? Last i heard a hurricane ruined the zip line part and ground activities were running. I was hoping it would be fixed by now but not looking like they will?
@@BrittsGoodGetaways We were there April 2023 and the entire ropes course was closed and again had been for some time and the only thing running at the motorized area was some go carts if you got lucky. At that time it was all still advertised on their web site and promotional stuff. Was a real let down. Looks like it might finally be gone from their own promotional material.

@@BrittsGoodGetaways my daughter is in a hospital in patient program 3 hours from home and I spend half my week in that city and my insurance company usually puts me in a Drury and it is sooo nice plus they give me points even though it’s covered on insurance so we are saving up our points to help lower our food and lodging cost so we might be able to actually afford to go to Disney at least for a day or two! I’ve wanted to go my whole life and my daughter (almost 14) has too!
Sailed aboard Odyssey April and May ‘24; 2-week transatlantic Ft. Lauderdale to Portugal, Spain, Italy. Fantastic ship, awesome crew, good food and drink. Royal has perfected its service on Odyssey. Highly recommend sailing on this ship! 17:50

Girl! The Schooner bar is not pronounced "shooner", it's pronounced "skooner". LOL! Like the small sailing vessel. Please don't take offence, it just cracked me up! Hello! You do need reservations regardless of anywhere you stay. I recommend making them as soon as you check in. But yes you can choose from any of the restaurants in all sections besides the adults area.
I used rentals.dvcshop.com/ The whole renting points intimidated me a bit. I liked how this web site you book already reserved rooms just like you would any other hotel reservation. I do talk a little more about it at 21:15 in the video :)

Thank you thank you this was sooo helpful that’s the exact hotel I was booking. Just hate they don’t have shuttle to the port. An I’m scare of Uber lol
I wish they did too! You could always go with a transportation company but it will be more money. Will you be traveling alone? The ride is very quick luckily. Uber has an emergency line on the app that has your location. Or stay on the phone with someone during your ride. And always check the license plate so you know it’s your Uber and not some random pretending!
Thanks for your video? Do you know if each section has its own kids club? Which section would you recommend if traveling with a newly minted 4 year old. Nervous it’s too big to get around with a kiddo in tow. Would rather not bring a stroller…
The Beach and Caribe share a kid's club. The Colonial and Tropical share a kid's club. Then the palace has its own club. I would recommend staying at the caribe or colonial section. That is center to most the activities and kid slides that way you will have to do the least amount of walking. The beach is also great there. I can let you know more in 2 weeks because my brother will be staying there with his almost 4 year old in June!
