Aloha, This is a platform where I share my personal experiences and insights about motherhood and homeschooling my two children, ages 4 & 6, while living in Hawaii's beautiful island of Kauai. My family's love for spending time outdoors in nature, playing music, reading books, and fostering connections between each other. My children speak three languages (French, Spanish and English), and I incorporate a variety of educational approaches, including the Charlotte Mason method, child-led learning, unschooling, and world schooling.
As a working mom outside of the home, I also offer tips and strategies on how to balance your professional life with homeschooling.
We often change our schedules so I like a flow and my kids are knowing their travel and home schedules for homeschooling!!! We don’t do poetry everyday but we have done afternoon poetry in our dining room area sometimes!!! I don’t have a issue with online schooling but I don’t like reading eggs as it didn’t work for my kids but we loved Duolingo ABC!!!
@@RockSimmer-gal4God it’s great to have a flow and your kids know it!! The important of homeschooling is doing what works for you! 😊 thanks for being here!
I have this machine--any idea how to make bigger books? It says up to 450 pages, but that many pages won't fit on those front metal combs...I guess at that point i need to feed it through the black binding rings?
@@heavenmcguire7944 if you have a comb big enough for it, it will work. The black part of the comb is sticking out of the metal part and you can add all the papers. I hope it makes sense. Hopefully it will work. I’ve done a book up to 400 pages and it worked fine! 😉
This would be awesome for my younger kids to Travel with and do school without them knowing it!!! I got some older games from timber doodle for my older kids!!! I’m hoping it makes travel schooling more fun!!!
We finished the yr at Easter and took a Easter break and We started our math in mid may!!! We always start the school year with math!!! Nothing wrong with taking reading slowly!!! We love TGTB math but we aren’t using it at the moment!!! We love science videos!!! As you live in Hawaii I see nature studies as just seeing the beautiful nature!!! I don’t add too many unit studies!!! We love gather round but for our farm studies we decided not to use that unit study!!! I wanted to teach my kids where food comes from!!! I love teaching my kids Aussie traditions!!!
I am happiest when I workout consistently and stay active. I mostly do at home dumbbell workouts and pilates. I'm in my mid-30s (so definitely not old lol) but I want to age as gracefully as possible and keeping mobility is a big motivator for me.
Nothing wrong with knowing ur favourite curriculum now but it may grow!!! We haven’t used blossom and root tho!!! I prefer Christian curriculum!!! We love Charlotte Mason and nature curriculum and we love gentle and classical nature and now doing their 1st science curriculum and loving it!!! We only do optional activities if we want to!!! I prefer to buy books due to our travel schedules but we don’t use all books in a curriculum due to our fast paced life!!!
Hello, I analyzed your RU-vid channel. Your video quality is very nice and amazing But your Channel is not getting proper views and subscribes. We found some problem with your channel-
We surf as a family including my younger kids but they are only allowed to surf small waves on a longboard!!! I find fitness fun and so do my kids!!! PE when I younger wasn’t that good and I want better for my kids!!! We live in the tropics and I think because we work out in water the heat doesn’t bother us!!!
I am with you! I love working out! I just don't feel like myself if I can't get a workout in, especially yoga. That is my mental calming and energy rejuvenation that my body and mind craves. Thanks for sharing and bringing this important topic some light and awareness. We love love including our kids in our workouts. 💞💕💞💕
Hi friend! Wow, this was so inspiring! It is so true to carve out time through the day to put yourself first and your health. I was a yoga instructor for about seven years and once I had my second child, I stopped teaching and also didn’t work out as much. It has been very difficult for me to get back into working out. I will go through phases of working out for months and then fall off and so on. I’m totally motivated to get my workout routine back in order. I actually have the atomic habits on audible also. Congratulations on your half marathon and that is so amazing how much you do! TFS and have a beautiful week friend🤍🤍
@@Sunnyinthesuburbs it can be easy to push it down as not important and then we forget almost to add it back into our schedule!! It takes constant effort!! Thank you and have a great weekend! 😊
We’ve just moved as my friend and wanted to spend more time with us and we have a homeschool room but we still have 6 to 8 months of travel every year!!! My teenage daughter has a bookshelf of Japanese books!!! I just bought new maps that we need to put up!!! We now have a homeschool cart and we love it!!!
Hi friend! I love all the places you organized the homeschool stuff. You are so creative! We have a homeschool room, but I honestly feel like it’s way easier just to homeschool on our dining room table. Great to see that the new rolling cart is working! This is definitely on my bucket list of things to get. TFS! 🤗🌼
Great video! Your space is wonderful! We recently moved this past year, before our loft we also homeschooled at the dining room table, and had our supplies hidden around the house and in closets. I'd love to see video of your different language books. We are a mixed race family, and would love to get some great Spanish and for us Tagalog (Philippines) books. Thanks for sharing.
@@PlannerHomeschoolingMom thank you for being here! We make it work however we can 😉 I’ll do a video and show all our Spanish books! I’ll try this month! ☺️
@@themodernhomemaker I’ll definitely do a video about it this year. We tried again AAR pre reading again last week and it still wasn’t working. So this week we started LOE A, hoping that it will workout good! I’ll keep you in the loop! 😉
