I have the two options at the same price right now. Huion at $699 and wacom at just $705! (Student discount haha) but honestly i think im gonna go for the huion. I get BETTER resolution with express keys?? Yes please! I hope my lecturers dont mind lol, they say wacom is the industry standard and what we should buy but i really feel like i’ll love the huion more 😬
Yes, even at the same price I'd pick the Huion. It's built in at least the same quality as well. The only thing I can't tell is if the Wacom will last longer after years or so. And about your lecturers: prove them wrong! Teachers live in the past SO often! (show them my video haha)
Thanks! There's a trick you can use, it's hard to describe like this but you can get my free Isometric Art Ebook if you like. There's a tutorial about this inside :) grossehalbuer.com/isometry
The Huion is definitely a great choice for that, as it's very slim as well. However I'd consider an iPad if that's in your budget range, as that is the most mobile option you can get (I love drawing during train rides for example)
@@10hitscombo it's actually just a symbolic picture of a similar artwork, as it's a livestream recording I needed to have something similar for a thumbnail 😉
@@plasticpen You can definitely make use of screenshot/screen capture on ipad or computer to make the proper thumbnail. If it's a very long drawing video, you can separate them into play list with incremental progression. I think it would be better to have a proper thumbnail on the drawing you are working on or what would be the final result of the drawing by the end of Video. That way there will be no different expectation for viewers who come here because of the thumbnail at the first place.
That's most likely either an issue with the pen you're using (do you use the original Apple Pencil?), or there's something wrong with the pressure sensivity settings in Procreate. Did you play around with different brushes and checked the "Pressure and Smoothing" options in the Settings?
Thank you for your amazing review. I have a Kamvas 16 Pro and I am very happy with it! Also, have you tried the Faber Castell Repaper? Can you make a review please! I just recently purchased to have something different and would like to see your opinion. Thank you :)
I'm working on it right now..I wanted to stream it, but my iPad broke and I had to get a new one. It arrived today, but now I'm a bit stressed and need to work out of office cause I'll be travelling, so unfortunately I have to finish it without streaming!
@@plasticpen sorry to hear your ipad broke, I can imagine that’s stressful if it basically is your workplace 🥲 you still could later on use the procreate intern video it does automatically (love it) and do a voiceover or whatever if there’s something you wanna share. Hope you have fun on your travels!
The longer I look at the second one, the more I like it 💖 Its simplicity and paper like drawing style, gives cozy point and click adventure vibes. Makes me think of mineko‘s night market somehow
you're totally right, there are people who enjoy watching old livestreams. loved it and inspired me to draw along, so thanks for sharing! <3 probably super not useful anymore since this was streamed 8 months ago 😂 but it kinda bothered me 😅 so,.. the basic potion starter kit is a cauldron and mörser
I've an old GTX 1060 3gb graphics card, can I use this model for digital sculpting without any lag with this card? my main concern is will my card be able to pull off 2.5k without any lag? kindly reply.
I have used my iPad Pro 12.9 2nd Generation tablet for last 3-4 years and loved it; but wanted to get into a bigger screen surface. I had zero interest in using a drawing pad but didn't want to go huge in a 24 inch just yet. I only used Procreate for digital drawing. So the Huion 16 Pro (2.k) was in my budget and is going to give me a bigger drawing window. Going to learn Clip Studio Paint... Thanks for sharing your review. If I like the 16, I will invest in the 24 to keep on my desk in future. Signed, somewhat of a Novice artist.
Ho una domanda, in questi giorni sto decidendo se prendere la XP Pen 15.6 Pro, oppure la XP Pen 16 2nd gen (quella di questo video), hai qualche suggerimento?
Hi Stefan, I love your work so much! I was wondering which software you use to record this clean process? It's very nice to watch without the camera zoom in and out etc. Keep up the good work, much love Linda
Great cheery happy colourfull cabin a la oodles of noodles!! Your choice and reason for the analogous colours are good tips. Pen choices, too. I luv detail, so your whimsical additional touches are cute. I like details because it creates stories within the overall story a illustration has. So, i feel not just me but others would find it reallly helpful if you would go through the steps from a to z. Start with: what is isometric? vs other perspectives? How to import a sketch that we want trace over? What tools does Procreate have for isometric images, grid, drawing assist, snapping, etc? What size is this cabin’s canvas? The different blend modes you mentioned, what are they? Etc etc. And where these different elements found in Procreate?
I appreciate the review, plus the comparison to the wacom. I've got a Kamvas Pro 12 right now, but I'm trying to find something that's a bit bigger with higher resolution. It's nice to hear that this is a good option, cause to be honest everything else starts getting REALLY expensive lol
I appreciate that the video is not just a speed drawing and that you explained the process and keep focus on the main subject, the artwork, and a very natural way to promote your brushes and other products. Thanks for the video is awesome.
I have a Cintiq 16 and a Kamvas 13. What makes the Kamvas series better overall is that the Kamvas tablets are SLIM, and they each have BUILT-IN EXPRESS KEYS!
@@plasticpen WHOA!!!!!!! 😮- can’t blame you, with Huion’s built in express keys and SLIM design it’s way more convenient! I’m trying to decide between the Kamvas 13 2.5 or the Kamvas 16 2.5
@@digidrawdude Yep same opinion here, I really liked the Huion better! Also for the size, it's a super personal decision and there's no right or wrong. Ideally just try both sizes if you can, and buy the one you feel more comfy with. When sitting on the desk I personally like the 16 better!
