Funny how this was posted only 2 days ago. I was just listening to Bad Co. Seminole and when it finished I thought (for no apparent reason)......... I'd like to see how 10cc recorded I'm not In Love, so I watched a documentary about it. When the song finished at the end of the video I read a comment that someone had gone to see this concert a few days ago! 46 years since G&C performed it. Well it wasn't exactly 10cc but it was a wonderful performance. Ahh, the memories, the memories. A masterpiece of inspiration, perspiration and pure talent, doggedness etc. Well done 10cc. Quick question "which song was released first, this one or Bohemian Rhapsody? Anyone....
Thanks for watching, fedup3449! In answer to your question, 10cc released this in May 1975, but worked on it starting late 1974. Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody wasn't released until late October 1975. They didn't start working on it until August 24 1975. This is back when bands would record songs and get them out as soon as possible! Both classic songs, though!
It's Mr. Bungle which is a Mike Patton creation so it is a very strange band musically. But have been super influential, Korn for example was very influenced by early Mr. Bungle.
Metal and rock bands like this are more dissonant by design. If you don't understand that, then it's probably not for you. But when it comes down to it, Mike Patton (the vocalist) has various other projects where there is a lot more emphasis on his singing, and he's very good. Check out Faith No More, Peeping Tom & Fantomas for example.
I'm looking forward to A Face in the crowd being presented on stage, finally! I hope that it ends up on the travel circuit, since I live far to the west.
You gotta love Tim and crew.....hes north Texas music royalty at this point, and basically has made SO MANY of the songs from my youth and teen years. North Texas/southern Oklahoma was so blessed in the 90s with talent. Toadies, the Nixons, Tripping Daisy, KillBilly, old 97s, Flaming Lips, and so many others.....the memories and bands are almost too many to really recount....
Wasn't tripping daisy basically the same guy here? Im from tulsa and fully agree. Im a 90s kid, class of 2000,so I fully remember all those bands. If you go a bit further south you can add the Butthole Surfers. Dallas also birthed a great band that never made it... The Peach Truck Republic. You can find em on youtube.
Both are small height women with powerful voices- can sing folk rock and rolls blues bluegrass just needs to do some Mexican songs. Even Karen Carpenter she is awesome
I HEARD CARRIE UNDERWOODS SING THIS ICONIC SONG AT LINDA RONSTADT'S R&R HOF INDUCTION BUT SUSAN HOFF DID IT ASWELL AS CARRIE ONLY A ACOUSTIC VERSION !!
This is amazing to watch but is So Spot On it just sounds like the Real Thing? Just Eddie playing it? Not like a violin at all? I have never one of those instruments?
