Ohm Force is an independent audio software company founded in 2000 and based in Paris, France. After making many award-winning effect plugins, such as Ohmicide:Melohman and OhmBoyz, Ohm Force is proud to introduce Ohm Studio, the world's first cloud-based real-time collaborative online digital audio workstation for Mac/Windows with VST support.
@@OhmForceSoftware I’m an fx pedal addict so if you ever do make any pedals I’ll buy them. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would do the same. Keep up the good work.
Omg yes!!! I was thinking just a few days ago the thing I want most for eurorack is something like Ohmicide as a module, and here it is! 😮😮😮 My all time favorite vst effect. Most of the magic is that it is multiband, tho.
So it seems Electro Distro had expected a more realistic demand than we did and told they will have new units early this week. For now the availability has resumed to "normal". We''re following the situation carefully.
Nuts ! Always dreamt of a hardware version , mid and side still a thing (then again you’ve probably done some magic there where it ain’t required to separate ,as it’s singular band (or is it multiband?) and is there onboard gate like the plug or… I feel you got some plans in the future for more though , if you ain’t you 100% should ! (Just read you have. Excellent move ♟️)
We had to adapt it to work coherently within an Eurorack context. The four band layout has changed to one band with Xover (that is the frequency above wich the distortion applies, which was the most common setup of bands 1-2 in the legacy plugin as you rarely want the low end distortion), then the LPF in that limit the band your distorting by the higher end, then a LPF out post distortion to remove excessive harshness in the high end. The Melohman adaptation was to create the step sequencer which you can see in action in the above demo (look at the disto type changing). So while it does less than the plugin on some aspects, it also has some improvements that makes it in our view significantly more responsive. This is a design that we had a long time to test in software then hardware form. There is no feedback generator nor noise gate though. Maybe in a separate module someday. As it is Ohmicide Eurorack is a beast of a distortion / shaper library and is focused on that.
@@OhmForceSoftwareCheers for clarifying , by no means deal breakers. Look forward to release (love the look of it as well actually) n wish it it all the best!
This is probably the only plugin I can't live without! It is the pinnacle of distortion for me and will never be beaten!! This is so going in my case!!! Hope you make enough of them to go round! 😀 This is truly epic!🔥
OHMygod! This is epic. And does this mean maybe the classic Ohmboyz delay plugin to be eurorack one day soon? That was my go to delay and you heard "that" LFO preset on so many trance and dance tunes in mid 00's. Wild. Great to see them back
Come get away with murder at Super Booth, booth Z245 16-18 May 2024 people. Also other upcoming doomsday devices. Now for the nerd stuff: This video was shot using Ohmicide performer mode "trigger sequence" which uses a step sequencer to automatically trigger distortions in live. The Ohmicide input is a sequence of notes with a sawtooth waveform. The Ohmicide output is recorded in Ableton Live and we added a reverb.
@@OhmForceSoftware Ok, I am trying the demo now on my little pc gaming laptop, it's a lot of fun but it's clear I really need to learn it, so hopefully by the time the Mac native version is released I'll know it back to front. Since it can do what I need per your other reply, I guess it will be worth the cost for me once the Mac version is released. I am running entirely in native ARM mode, and only one of my plugins doesn't have a native version (Legendary audio I.C.E.) so that's why it just wasn't worth to me to use Rosetta. The DAW performance in native mode is insanely good on Macs now, even at very low buffer sizes, so it's been a real treat. But yeah it has to definitely be ARM native before I will buy it and I have been reading around the forums and it seems there are others waiting for the same thing. Ohm Force, you always made excellent plugins and I am actually sad we won't be seeing updates of predator, hematohm etc. I always used them in every project. All the best in any case.
Edit, I have seen the feature I thought was missing, so now to the rest of the OP: I'd really have liked the addition of a second filter in the delay path. I mean a nice resonant low pass and at least a static highpass in the delay path makes sense, and it's incredible to me that barely any delay plugin will do it. The very few that offer resonance only offer a single filter and the rest have standard lo/hi pass without resonance, there is only one plugin I know of that offers dual resonant filters in the delay path and that is fabfilter Timeless, but I hate the GUI of that one. Also 64 euro or over 100 AUD for a crossgrade for one plugin is *very* steep, considering the entire ohm bundle I had paid for is discontinued and will never be native Apple silicon. I mean that could have been taken into account for crossgrades to one new plugin, but I digress. It's too rich for me, so I will wait for a sale but pass for now.
Hello Teddy. You can actually do that and then some. First each delay does have a resonant filter in the feedback line and you can route one in the other. Note that they both individually have also an HP AND a LP EQ (which are post feedback loop, so that's a different option) On top of it each of the Taps pre dealy has the same. Resonant, LP, HP. I think you're covered ^^
I used Ohmboyz years ago and have really missed it as I couldn't get it to work with newer op system but I have just tried again and its working - i'm so happy I will defo check this new one - nice one Boyz!
I bought ohmicide a few months ago and y'all release it for free! GIVE ME THIS BAD BOY! jk i know i probably won't get a refundd but damn i wish i had a warning
Infinite space is the default preset. It's also in the Infinity Bank (the one with the catstronaut). You can find its ancestor "classic space" in the legacy bank too. What exactly happens on your side.?
