This movie needs a sequel. I saw this movie as a child (dont ask) and the ending messed me up. I always thought it was a true story and wanted to know what happened next
Why did they have a scene at the basketball game refreshment stand where Charly was watching a little boy with the older man? She seemed to sense somethiing yet the storyline stopped
He was a pioneer LGBTQ activist. He not only formed the Royal Court but was also involved in organizing the Tavern Guild (association of owners of gay taverns) and Society for Individual Rights - organizations which fought for LGBTQ rights. Younger LGBTQ people need to know how our community had to fight for our rights. BTW there is a Jose Sarria museum in Palm Springs 🌈
Well, when Steve Hayes ''reviewed'' ''trick,'' on his movie review blog, I commented that the film was an updated affectionate tribute to 1930s Hollywood screwball comedies. It is adorable, the kind of film Billy Wilder would've fallen in love with.
Absolute legend ❤️💥P.s. every institution dominated by men in power (corporations royalty sports religion police banks entertainment media politics Law medicine etc) is corrupt racist & misogynistic
As a recently out gay man of the 90s, finding out that Sean Hayes was claiming to be straight hurt me and my fellow gays deeply. It actually caused us to no longer enjoy the show and we stopped watching. His refusal to come told the world that being gay, even in the midst of such an incredibly successful show was something to be ashamed of, something that could not be done while also achieving success. It further lessened the show's impact on the culture. Even towards the end when the power was all his and he was untouchable he still claimed to prefer pussy. It wasn't until he started working on Broadway when he finally was forced to be real. (he wasn't fooling any of those Broadway gays and basically was told, "if you wanna work here and you're queer then you'd better come on out, dear"). He should be embarrassed and ashamed because although he pleased the status quo (still not ready to accept gays in the mainstream) to individual people, he fooled no one. My dog knew Sean Hayes was gay.
