I work for one of your retailers who carries PV.I was browsing on your website when I found this video! Being the only gardener working in the greenhouse-I have sold thousands of dollars worth of your product to customers! I would love to know more about working for your company, how can I get more involved ?
You might contact greenhouse growers and garden centers in your area, we also have propagators in many areas, here is a list,www.provenwinners.com/professionals/contact-us
We have not tested those perennials with deer as much as others, but here is a list of perennials we do recommend if you have deer in your area, www.provenwinners.com/learn/top-ten-lists/12-hardy-deer-resistant-proven-winners-perennials
If you scroll down on this page you will see annual, perennial and flowering shrub ideas for zone 10, thanks for asking! beauty.provenwinners.com/plants-by-climate/southwest-and-california/
Thank you for these recommendations for Canada. I planted a Skyview last fall and it has some die back but lots of buds. I’m in Toronto zone 6a…. I purchased 4 more this season🙌🏽. Let’s Dance Can Do and Tiny Tuff Stuff give me the most reliable blooms each year. 💚
Here is a list of perennials that will do well in clay soil, but please choose according to what zone you are in, each is noted in the plant description. Thanks for watching! www.provenwinners.com/learn/top-ten-lists/10-perennials-clay-soil
We recommend our water soluble plant food, it was formulated to work wonders on our Supertunia varieties. But if you ask at your local garden center they too might have a recommendation if you prefer to not purchase online. Thank you for watching.
In short season growing areas more money is a big concern for a lot of people. The cost on everything is rising and it’s very hard to spend more money on a plant when you also need to feed your family. Yes Proven Winners are excellent plants but to fill a garden with excellent plants is a non reality for most in this economy, ESPECIALLY in a short growing season area. I do buy Proven Winners plants and shrubs but I also have to do so very wisely buying mostly perennials and shrubs that will hopefully last for a very very long time with care. I would LOVE to fill my garden with annuals from Proven Winners but it’s really not an option for me and I do believe many people. I understand that everyone needs to make money on a product but maybe if you offered a more cost saving option for selling PW annuals like say in a reasonably priced six pack, maybe smaller starter plants, it would also increase your sales? 💐💚🙃
It's tacky to casually insinuate that deer damage provides sellers more opportunities to sell more plants. The gross expense of landscaping materials and plants makes this impossible for so many. Breeders and sellers should join forces with states and localities to better manage overpopulated deer herds. You will no longer have a business if deer issues are allowed to continue because people will give up due to the cost.
I bought a PW Dandy Dan rhododendron last year! The deer at every leaf on it. I’ve had older rhododendrons for 35 years and deer never ate them. I hope it comes back. It was a huge investment
We are so sorry to hear this Christine, we often recommend spraying a plant with Plantskydd spray once a month. This is an organic spray that is systemic, it changes the taste of the plant...vs. topical which can just wash away in the rain. If you cannot find it locally try online sources, and after using it be sure to clear the nozzle by spraying water until the clear tube is water only.
I wish these items had a more reasonable price, they are so expensive. I still use my Earth Boxes which are also self watering and have been around for years and years. Sure they aren't fancy like these, but they also don't cost hundreds of dollars.. I guess a person will have to decide what they can afford. Thanks for the video.
Good morning Betty, you might want to consider the insert if you have a container that it might fit in, here's a link to our shop, and it does provide the dimensions needed, www.provenwinners.com/catalog/aquapots-proven-winners/aquapots-inserts
It is up to each garden center to decide which plants they want to carry, and the quantity of each, we do not make that decision, so ask at your favorite store if there is a plant you would like to see them carry. FYI, this is a channel meant for garden center retailers, you might enjoy this channel more which is meant for gardeners, thanks for watching! ru-vid.com
How do I become a Proven Winners Destination Garden Center?? I'm in Shepherdsville, Ky. Right at the interstate of 65. I'm a PW only person. I just love them, but there's no place like that here. I'm all in! Come on, let me know! I absolutely know it will be Successful!
Each of our plants have an individual page on our website, and that is where you can find the zone. For annual plants, the zone is not important unless you want the plants to winter over like a perennial would. Thanks for watching.
The dimensions of the inserts are 13.5in. × 13.5in. × 7.63in. You will want the diameter to be at least 14in so it canbe set down into the container. However,16in might be better. Height includes the tube, so depending on the height of the container, you will see more or less of the tube. Let us know if you have other questions.
Do you have the bubble gum pink bought last love it can I buy the seed from you every love my flowers I can’t remember the name of the mini one that has different name yellow and white stripe thank you Judy
Hi Judy, we believe you are talking about our Supertunia Vista Bubblegum Petunia? Unfortunately, our plants perform so well because they are NOT from seed, we propagate them from plant tissue...so no seed to share unless you are talking about Proven Harvest, our vegetable line. The yellow and white stripe plant you are also referring to might be Superbells Lemon Slice! Have a great spring when it arrives.
I just planted a “Let’s Dance Can Do” hydrangea, pretty much because I had heard it blooms all along the entire stems. Looking forward to seeing how it does here in central Ohio 6A!
I watch garden answer and creek side and they have shown the proven winner plants that I started gardening with for the first time this year . Excited , to see what they do with their gardens in the spring .
Good afternoon beautiful lady, I truly love these, I volunteer for a Nursing home, is there any way you can sell me some seeds? Please respond . Blessings to you from my heart. May God guide you through your life's journey. You are also a very nicely spoken person.
Hi Sheri, in a video covering many plants, especially annuals, it is difficult to also mention the hardiness zones, but if you search by the plant name on our website each plant page will include that info. Thanks for watching!
True blue is a difficult color to obtain in the horticulture world. We do our best, this page that goes directly to the PW Australia group would be a wonderful place for you to share your request!
