I got mine recently and today did some testing. A neat little device. However what bothers me is that with my test material, I get quite obvious color banding in preview and program out. Why is this? Even when I play back my test video from SD card. Of course, h264 compression is apt to yield color banding, but not at high bitrates. However, for a video switcher I would expect it not to introduce any banding at all. Well, funnily the Blackmagic Atem Mini PRO ISO has the same issue, but not as severe and not as obvious. Is there anything you guys could do about this in a firmware update? It is also a bit unfortunate that the system frame rate cannot be set independently from the HDMI output framerate. Say I'm streaming 30fps, but have the same picture on a display which unfortunately can only do 50 and 60Hz, then I'm stuck (or must buy outboard framerate converters). The USB-UVC doesn't work for me on my old Kubuntu 18.04 with OBS. Would be great to get this fixed. Apart from that I must say, this is a pretty impressive piece of gear at that price point. I really love that it can be operated without a computer software. Is there a way to adjust encoder bitrates for audio and video for custom profiles for streaming?
@@osee_tech I did some further testing. Despite my criticism, the GoStream Deck amazes me, I must say! I fonud that the DSK can do semi-transparent PNG files. This is quite something! I found out, however, that the range of the 8bit alpha channel is applied quite coarsly, most of all differently from what an image editor like Gimp would do. This might be worth a look in further software updates. It would be good if the alpha channel behaved more like in standard image editing so that one can actually predict how it would turn out when creating the graphics. The remote software looks very good to me and is very easy to use. It could use its screen space better in the future on bigger screen. The streaming configuration accepts XML files which I created for Blackmagic devices. That's very very cool. What I'm not understanding is why the quality settings in this XML files do not get used and are not made available in the user interface. This would be nice, since I put some effort into these in my existing Blackmagic setup. I still have to check if I can stream to the Blackmagic Atem Streaming Bridge. With several streaming outputs available, this would be fun! Btw., the Atem Streaming Bridge, I'm sure you could do this for half the price. Anyways, congrats for this product. Oh, what I also like is the DSK handling with the buttons. The rate option for slowly fading in the DSK however doesn't seem to have an effekt yet.
Thanks for this. I friend just got one of these boxes and asked for my help getting the streaming set up. Is the process the same for the new duet model?
Thank you for the video. Are you able to tell me if it is possible to change the IRE values of the False colour? Or can you only use False Color in the presets listed?
the hardware analog Line In and Headphone out, the left and right channels are reversed. Same goes for the USB. Not sure if that was intended or not, Easy enough to swap the input signals around on the external mixer, or flip in OBS. Something the consumer should be aware of.
I wish it would come with a hood instead of having to buy a cage to have one. I'm attracted to the light weight design but its defeated when you have to add a cage for sunny shooting environments.
Please do a firmware update for ISO recording to SSD drives. A replay function would be cool for sports. Showing the multi-view on Zoom or recording it to the SD card would be a great option too.
This may be new as I just got mine. The left Knob foe Audio is the headphone adjustment. You just rotate it when no buttons are pressed and it lowers or raises the headphones
I see at 11:05 that there is desktop software for this switcher. I would love to use it with my laptop!!!! Where exactly can I download this software? Thanks a ton!!!! :)

Thank you for your video, nice. I have one question when I use my Osee T7 HDMI output and connect to another monitor like big tv Osee works but not the loop monitor, any suggestions? Thank you
Hi, Osee Gostream Deck can guarantee normal operation at an ambient temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. On the premise that the fan is removed to ensure that there is no noise, that the encoding and decoding can work stably at an ambient temperature of 40 degrees, and that the surface temperature of the panel is comfortable, a compromise is made to dissipate the heat to the bottom of the machine. Therefore the bottom temperature is higher.
You can also contact our technical support at support@osee-dig.com about the freeze issue, I believe they will assist you to solve the problem. Thank you!
If this could iso record and allow me to get the content through network or usb. it would be perfect for me! I do Motorsport broadcasts and i need to save every camera recorded in case i miss something in the main broadcast. This could have been a perfect "capture card". But seems like it's a seriously power full switcher and having 2 manageble hdmi output is a huge plus.
I've never used a hardware switcher. I use Ecamm Live software currently. Ive been looking at perhaps moving to a hardware input and switcher like the Black Magic. This unit definitely caught my attention. Does it (or the Black Magic) do picture in picture? Lower thirds or bugs? Picture in picture and graphic overlays are a must for my needs. I didn't see any of those features mentioned here so are they not available on these type units?
