OMG! THIS IS GENUIS! I WISH I WOULD HAVE SEEN THIS A LONG TIME AGO! MY WIRES ARE ALL SLOPPY! I'M GOING TO GO REDO ALL MY WIRES NOW WITH THIS METHOD! 👏🏻
@tonynguyen939 it's a hell of alot cheaper and I think it looks better and love that it tucks away. I haven't fully loaded it down but have not had any issues with it
@tonynguyen939 I have not had an OEM on mine but have drove a fee and if you have the cross supports out then there will always be noise that's why I keep my collapsed unless a rack is us there
@@vikingveterannot really otherwise we would be going through engines and fuel systems all the time. The tolerances in engines and fuel systems are small. If junk was getting in like that, it would wreak havoc
Some do not have it. So if it is not in either the location I showed or down but the washer fluid reservoir, then you got lucking and do not have this waist of space part. I hope that helps
I'm thinking since not all the 2nd gen has the secondary injection pumps, it may be worth seeing if there's a tune to delete the system all together. I'm going to do the filter mod, but it only runs for a few seconds after starting and it is crazy loud.
@vikingveteran good tip. Thank you. I ordered a filter a bit ago after inspecting my oem internal filter. Luckily everything is in good condition but I'm still gonna be safe rather than sorry.
@oriontackett7643 Yeah, most of the time, it will be soild, but everything will be fine until it's not. I'm glad I was able to help so we can all keep these great trucks on the road even longer.
It worked. Thank you. Imma have to watch more of your videos and stuff if something else comes up and I don’t know what to do. Also do you do all or some of your videos on a 2016 Jeep Renegade?
4:10 yes the foam filter breaking up can cause damage. The foam blows its way down into the check valves that let the air flow into the exhaust system and can either block them closed (check engine light and trac light + error code P2441) or get them stuck closed (I believe P2440ish?) Regardless, blocked closed isn't too big of a problem, but if they get blocked open then your engine can blow hot exhaust back up through the secondary air system and burn it all up.
What is it suppose to do though, I mean what how do you save. I checked all comments but didn't see any information less I missed it. My 2015 w/97,000 miles running well, so I'm not going to mess or change anything.
You should have the 3rd generation tacoma so you shouldn't have to worry about it anyway. It is just replacing a filter that at some point will fail without you ever knowing until it's to late. That's why toyota changed the design for the 3rd gen

It's a useless part that is just used on startup. A battery there is the best option for sure. But make sure you have the battery hooked up so it's atleast getting a charge or use it will die
