From just a few minutes of Googling about Uncle Sam, I find it odd that he would be mentioned in a Civil War song since my quick search showed he wasn't a thing until 1870...about 5 years after the Civil War ended.

The Union had the most incompetent General in George Brynton "Little Mac" McClellan even Lincoln made remarks about his eccentricities including "what difference does the exact shade of brown of Julius Caesar's hair really make?" as well as "if you do not attack now when you have double what the enemy has because for the enemy to attack you, they'd have to be insane"

Lincoln invaded the South for REVENUE TAX MONEY. This is proven right after the evacuation of Ft Sumter in his Presidential Proclamations NO. 81 (19 April 1861), NO. 82 (27 April 1861), NO. 89 (12 May 1862), and is corroborated by the US House of Representatives in their Crittenden-Johnson Resolution (25 July 1861). Before Lincoln issued his own Emancipation in Presidential Proclamation NO. 95, he had TWO COMMANDING OFFICERS, Major General John Charles Frèmont and Major General David Hunter issue Emancipation edicts for Missouri (30 August 1861) and the areas of Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina (9 May 1862). Lincoln disagreed with BOTH of his generals. In the case of Frèmont, Lincoln removed him from his position and charged him with *INSUBORDINATION* (2 November, 1861). In the case of Hunter, Lincoln *VOIDED* Hunter's Emancipation edict and set the record straight (NO EMANCIPATION) in his Presidential Proclamations NO. 90 (19 May 1862).

The citizen-soldiers who fought for the Confederacy personified the best qualities of America. The preservation of liberty and freedom was the motivating factor in the South’s decision to fight the Second American Revolution. The tenacity with which Confederate soldiers fought underscored their belief in the rights guaranteed by the Constitution. These attributes are the underpinning of our democratic society and represent the foundation on which this nation was built. "God Save the South".

@@metal_fusion Yankees were traitors to the Union, Slave Trader! Even Princeton listed the truth of Lincoln's violations of the Constitution, Traitor! Abraham Lincoln's *Invention of Presidential War Powers:* Facing the unprecedented crisis of civil war *(which he started)* in 1861, President Abraham Lincoln invoked his "war power" as commander-in-chief to "take any measure which may best subdue the enemy." Defying the chief justice of the United States, he suspended the writ of habeas corpus by presidential decree. He also declared martial law, authorized the trial of civilians by military courts, and proclaimed the emancipation of slaves--all on the grounds that *"I may in an emergency do things on military grounds which cannot be done CONSTITUTIONALLY by Congress.* *NOTE:* You can also add: started an illegal income tax August 1861, illegally invaded Virginia 21 July, 1861 as VA was part of the Union when the Sumter fight took place - but VA legally seceded afterwards. Lincoln unconstitutionally invaded the South which legally seceded, *according to Lincoln.* But, he wanted the *MONEY* from the *FOURTH-RICHEST Country in 1860.* The Confederate States of America (1861-1865) started with an agrarian-based economy that relied heavily on slave-worked plantations for the production of cotton for export to Europe If classed as an independent country, the area of the Confederate States would have ranked as the *FOURTH-RICHEST country of the world in 1860."* (Wikipedia: Economy of the Confederate States of America) Want me to cite more sources, Yankee Slave Trader? @Jmmoffa 2 года назад
@@MGTOWPaladin, it’s oblivious by your picture that you’re brainwashed by the “Lost Cause” myth, Sherman did not kill Women and Children or did he massacre Indians and Buffaloes as you falsely claim. First if Sherman was so hated by the South as your “Lost Cause” myth teaches why was he given a Hero’s Welcome in Atlanta when he returned a couple years after the war. The irrational hatred toward Sherman was started by lies of the United Daughters of the Confederacy in the late 19th century and early 20th century, after the death of a lot War of Rebellion Veterans ( the 19th Century and original name for the Civil War) The Indians were always savage and bloodthirsty, ever since the fist massacre committed by the Powhatan in 1620, always under the guise of friendship and later ambushes, they would always target women and children. The cowardly Lenape in 18th Century Pennsylvania in would usually only target children and they would scalp the youngest. That became the Modus Operandi for the Indians throughout the rest of the Early US History, either ambush or attack unarmed innocence, usually the later of the two. Sherman tried to negotiated treaties and he did successfully with the Navajo, but the Sioux or Dakota/Lakota which is their actual name were always violent. The Fetterman Massacre, where the led the US Army into an ambush was why Sherman pushed for them to be removed and encouraged Bison hunting, that would cause the Indians to leave of their food source was diminished. Everything you believe about Sherman is from revisionist lies of the Lost Cause myth created the United Daughters of the Confederacy and later false books, such as Communist George Zinn’s blatantly false “Peoples History of America”, which he wrote a Soviet prospective of American History and is full of lies and has been rebutted by credible Historians.

Damn Yankee - defined: A "damn Yankee" is a Yankee slave trader (or supporter) who buys slaves in Africa, brings them to the States and sells those who survived the trip for profit. But, when his profits run out, he invades his customers land, raids his finances and blames his destruction, rape, robbery and murder on the fact you have slaves! Let me see here! A Union of States where slavery is enshrined in its US constitution (Migration and Importantion Clause, Fugitive Slave Clause. 3/5 Compromise Clause, 4th Amendment, 5th Amendment and 10th Amendment. Also in the laws of its Congress: i.e.1820 Missouri Compromise, 1850 Fugitive Slave Act and 1854 Kansas - Nebrasks Act, etc. and SCOTUS decisions like Dred Scott v Sanford) invades a Confederation of States to STOP SLAVERY? HUH? Why is there a controversy? As South Carolina and other States legally seceded from the Union, the North invaded the now-Confederacy for control of southern cash crops that fed the US Treasury (to the tune of 70%), secured bank loans as collateral, supplied northern industries with raw materials and, across the Atlantic, supplied their industries (The Industrial Revolution) as well. Three non-Confederate Sources: English author, Charles Dickens, author of A Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist: "The Northern onslaught upon slavery was no more than a piece of specious humbug designed to conceal its desire for economic control ( cotton and other raw materials) of the Southern states." This short telegram, from US General William Tecumseh Sherman to Abraham Lincoln, is dated December 22, 1864. “I beg to present you as a Christmas gift the city of Savannah with 150 heavy guns and plenty of ammunition and also about 25,000 bales of COTTON,” Sherman wrote. In 1924, the US Federal Reserve issued their report on the History of Cotton. Please note in 1800 there was no cotton production. By 1850, COTTON supplied 53.36% of the US exports. By 1870, COTTON supplied a whopping 60.28%. fraser.stlouisfed.org/files/docs/publications/FRB/pages/1920-1924/26396_1920-1924.pdf The North invaded the Confederacy for control of southern cash crops and the money it supplied. For 160 years, the North has hid behind Four False Causes or UNCONSTITUTIONAL LIES! 1. Secession is illegal 2. The South rebelled 3. Preserve the Union (Treasury) 4. Slavery - legal under the Constitution, Congress and SCOTUS. The ONLY document from the US government about the war on (Confederate-only) SLAVERY is the Emancipation Proclamation! PROBLEMS? Lincoln acknowledged in his first inaugural that he has no constitutional authority on the subject of slavery and copying from the 1860 Republican Party Platform plank# 4 says its a situation of the inviolable rights of the States and the armed invasion of any State FOR ANY REASON is the GRAVEST IF CRIMES! The Emancipation Proclamation did not free a single slave still held in the North or the Southern States (Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky, Missouri kept from joining the CSA, and the Confederate State of Tennessee was exempt (unlisted) thanks to Lincoln's Vice President, Andrew Johnson. So, Lincoln's invasion is the costliest in US history. It's supposedly about slavery yet slavery continues to be legal in the US for EIGHT MONTHS after the surrender at Appomattox in April 1865. Can anyone make sense of this?
