Laketran is the regional public transit agency for Lake County, Ohio providing over 750,000 annual trips. Laketran offers three modes of service Local Routes 1-9, door-to-door Dial-a-Ride, and commuter Park-n-Ride service to and from downtown Cleveland.

I take the bus everywhere. I am a total bus rider. I don’t know what it is about watching these bus videos but I have had discussion with bus drivers about this and what these drivers are doing is so heartwarming it makes me tear up every time I watch these videos. I guess you could say that I am crazy for taking the bus. I love to do it. I love the things about the drivers. I live in pierce county and I have even gone so far as getting little things for my bus drivers. I feel that bus drivers do not get appriciated like they should and need more appreciation. It makes me tear up with such joy to hear the same things when I am riding the bus and hearing the drivers talk about the same things that are on RU-vid. Every bus driver seems to think the same about carrying their passengers. The first thing when I leave the house in the morning for work is get excited to see the driver. I don’t know what it is but I even have told the drivers that I love the authority they have for us. They say something you do it. I absolutely love riding the bus. Most people though would say they don’t really care for riding the bus cause it takes so much time but it is a time to chill bus time is chill time. When you are on the bus you are out of control. It is a time to bee out of control meaning,,, that you don’t have to worry about anything. As long as you are on the bus you are good to go. But hearing these videos of the drivers in what they have to say about their job really is heart touching. From school bus drivers to any kind of bus. I have over 100 percent respect for the bus driver. I did tell a lot of pierce transit drivers that I don’t have respect for them they have over my 100 percent respect. They don’t just have respect from me as a passenger. I said it exactly like this. “You know,,,, you don’t just have my respect that is not good enough. You have over 100 percent respect from me as a passenger.” Some drivers really have been touched with what I had to tell them. Ummmm even people ask what is the best part of my day and it is not my job which I love but just making the bus a part of my day is what I love to do. The bus really does play a role in my daily activities from work to just hanging out. I think as passengers a lot of the time we take riding the bus for granted and it is a mundane thing that everyone does just like waking up but it is a time that changes with every bus trip. Every one is something new and you really can learn a lot from riding the bus. Getting to know other passengers what they are doing, or having a driver tell you something. I have actually had drivers in the past have a really not so good day but when they pick me up, they are smiling from ear to ear and tell me that they are glad I am on their bus today. I don’t even say a word I could just bee boarding the bus and I hear this and it even makes me smile. The thing I love though is throughout the bus trips and commutes the driver is always making sure that you are safe. Even though I have been riding buses for years, I still to this day don’t do anything until the bus driver says and gives the clear. I have even told them that. It is a really special thing to bee able to ride the bus and it is actually easy. It is a time where you don’t have to make discussions. It is a time where you have no control… just being you and being mindful for those moments or Horus that you are on the bus. It is a time to zone out. Riding the bus actually can put you into a meditative state if you think about it. And not only that, but we get to use the safest mode of transport especially in the winter. But these videos of how bus drivers love their job and how they talk with so much passion really does bring me to tears cause i know that they are keeping us safe and doing what they are called to do. I think we get in our minds as passengers that a bus driver is only a person that sits behind the wheel but in reality the driver doesn’t just do that. They are doing other things as well tons of stuff that we don’t even see as passengers. As much as I have taken buses everywhere I even as a passenger don’t even have a clue what all the drivers do. Actually we as passengers no very little because we are not on the road 24 7. But the driver does. We don’t even know h half of it and we want to sit their r and complain that the bus is slow and running behind when we don’t even have a clue about why. Sometimes we don’t neeed to know. But the driver knows… we need to make our drivers feel appriciated and cared for like they care for us. Cause really it boils down to this. The bus driver is the provider of transportation and they are like angels because they do keep you safe from harm or even their own vehicle. They don’t want anything happening to us. So sometimes they have to pull us out of the way from something. that maybe unsafe.

Holly crap that boards data is out of date. Do they think the buses run on carburetors or pulled by horses? “Last time you seen a windows 2000 go down”. When we tech supported in the 50s we didn’t need all these new fangled gadgets. Four guys took care of the whole country using bailing wire and duck tape.
