Underbelly is a UK based live entertainment company. Our events and festivals division operates one of the largest operations at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, selling over 460,000 tickets for over 200 shows, in 22 venues over 25 days in 2019.
2019 was the seventh year Underbelly produced Edinburgh’s Christmas for City of Edinburgh Council (2018/19 saw a record breaking 2,631,154 people pass through East Prince Street Gardens), and the third year of producing Edinburgh’s Hogmanay also on behalf of City of Edinburgh Council, which in 2019-20 welcomed 160,000 over 3 days from 87 countries.
In 2020 Underbelly took Edinburgh's Christmas and Edinburgh's Hogmanay online, in response to COVID-19. Edinburgh's Hogmanay Fare Well was a three part stay-at-home event series that has seen global success.
Underbelly also produces Christmas in Leicester Square, Udderbelly Festival in Hong Kong, West End Live in Trafalgar Square for Westminster City Council and the Society of London Theatre

Absolutely awful Christmas Carnival. Nothing much festive about it, it’s just an overpriced fun fair. Please look at the prices of rides etc before wasting your hard earned money before booking.
Can anybody tell me more about what the language at 3.45 is? Am I right in thinking its Scottish Gaelic? Can anybody tell me more about who is speaking it, and what she is telling us? Beyond beauty. I absolutely adore it. I am in love with the fact that you have managed to retain some of that ancient pagan integrity, against such force.
It is indeed Scottish Gaelic. The English translations are in brackets after each line in the sub-titles. Don't know who the speakers are, maybe look for Gaelic names in the credits?
This is so upbeat I could cry. The production values are absolutely incredible, and inscrutable. This is so heartwarming. It makes me glad that I trod the same turf as these joyous yet macabre, brainwashed, cult members. Tom cruise and Scientology, move over, we have “weddings cancelled” and “good riddance to the last page torn from this wretched year.” Hogonany has it all including pedophiles enjoying last suppers. Edinburg, Scotland is it? I hear that the duchess of Cambridge, the gorgeous, vibrant, goddess of goodness and light will be joining you as you celebrate, what? The apocalypse?
Absolutely brilliant work. Love the poetry. Had the pleasure of visiting Scotland in December 2021, even though wasn't able to celebrate Hogmanay in its entirety, taking back the spirit and amazing memories. 💓#Scotland
Love how they used the Gealic and Scots lingo, made it feel more scottish. They are both such beautiful Languages. I think I could hear David Tennant? 🤔
What! Have you actually visited the country? My council estate (village) I grew up in was a shite hole and that was in the middle of these hills. There is lots of drugs and violance, I think you should live and visit a country before you develop any emotional connection to a place. Countries are different from what they present on TV.

I just have a feel, a connection that cannot be explained. And for consoling your very 'rational' mind, I need to add that I lived there for a year.
