Excited to get my new to me, twin to your truck, except for a 3.73 locker, to the track! Only other difference, is drag radials... nice r/t by the way!
Someone tried arguing with me the other day when i said these new reg cabs are running mid to low 13’s bone stock. He said those were “hero numbers”, and thats not common 😂
With a good D.A. I'm positive this truck would be 13.30's. I have a friend that bought a 2023 4-door 4x4 and launched at 3000 and went 13.33 and still had paper tags on the truck.
my honest guess is around 65hp-70hp. I can tell you this, the truck went 14.99-15.00 in ¼ mile before tune. after tune it went 13.60's. The difference in power was mind blowing.
nothing else has been done yet. I got some weld wheels and will have a 3/5 VAS drop on it by the end of summer. I will be going back to the track to look at times and do some dyno pulls to see where truck is at. Hopefully by end of this year it will have Whipple and tuned. that is the goal this year.
I haven't got rid of it yet you can hear the truck hit the limiter at the end of the track. I do know that if you use Forscan you can change tire size and truck the ECM therefore get a few more MPH.
This truck is surprisingly great a gas mileage. between 23-24 mpg just rolled 7000 miles. I have plans to do 3/5 drop when by March and "HOPEFULLY" I'll get a Whipple by August. Again only mod on it so far is a Corsa Extreme exhaust. Congrats and good luck with your truck coming your way. 🏎💨💯
At the time we race all he had done was 3/5 drop. better wheels and tires. and E-85. This was a pretty even match up. same truck specs. Just Gen 3 and Gen 4 platform. Side note ..... I even raced with a completely full tank of fuel. (93 octane)
3.31 has been proven to be the go to gearing for trucks using Suoercharger. N/A truck have done great things with 3.55 gears. and to be honest I've never actually seen a truck with 3.73 gears in person. I bet that will set you back in the seat pretty hard. So yeah plans are to get truck lowered this year 3/5 VAS Specialties and will be doing a Whipple. looking to be around 700hp. nothing super crazy just something to have fun at the track. my 2019 CCSB you can see in other videos will be set up for the Texas mile. it has 3.15 gears.
Mine has a 3:73 and it’s the sleeper truck I spent $11,500 to have the supercharger . It’s also got the 3 five lowering control arms . Look up a lighting bolt same setup . As a Corvette owner and a 99 Dakota RT owner it’s a bad bad to the bone truck . Will make my drag racing buddy’s laugh and scream at the same time lol

@@fast5.0l18 I guess I could also divulge that the engine is a brand new 5.0 mustang GT unit with a tune, Corsa exhaust, and a K&N filter, as well as a fresh 10R80 transmission.
@glenrush3605 that's awesome. have you ran any times on it yet. I'm curious how it performs. I was just telling a friend about that needing to happen in a f150
@@fast5.0l18 Not yet, but my "seat of the pants" tells me that it is a lot faster than it was. The engine straight from the factory is rated at 460 hp, the tune added about 45, the exhaust was good for about 10 more, and maybe 5 from the K&N, so maybe in the 520 range?
yes this is basically a 2wd work truck package. special ordered with the most basic features you can get. rubber floors. doesn't even come with xm radio. even tried to order with crank windows but wasn't an option.
@@fast5.0l18 340 miles actually. I mean don't get me wrong, I like a V8 as much as anybody, (own 9 mustangs) but Evs are the future. And as far as them being "boring" they aren't any more boring than the next loud, screaming, smoking, stripped down to nothing POS that runs a whopping 12 sec qt mile. Lol
@davecrosscybertruckvsevery785 ilk definitely be impressed if it can get that many miles. seeing is believing, though. We will always need ice vehicles. electric can play a part but it won't change the world.
What I find amazing about these trucks, is this is a better time than I was running with my 2002 Harley-Davision addition with supercharger and mods. The best I ever ran was 14.3 at 98.
I still have my 2004 Lightning, and when I drove it down the track completely stock it ran 13.8 at 100. So I completely understand what you mean. Technology has gotten crazy in today's world. I can't wait to see what a tune and tires will do on this truck.
yes the kit is #21147 BLK fit like a glove. and since installed, l've had zero issues and love it. I would suggest calling corsa personally and telling them you saw my video. you never know, they might give you a little discount. The people there are awesome. Thanks for watching.
Great time, you're hitting the speed limiter in the 1/4 mile. My 22 crew cab 4wd shuts down at 103 too. I've done a 13.6@100 stock with the 3.5 & 3.31 gears. Are you running e85?
I made this run as legit as I could. Full interior, spare tire, spray-in bed liner, a 80lb bed cover, and a full tank of gas. 93 octane. truck weighed 4013lbs before bed cover was installed. Next time I go to the track I'll drop the spare, put E-85 in the tank and run it on about ¼ tank. I have some weld wheels going on. I believe the truck will do a 13.0 if the D.A. can drop down.
@@fast5.0l18sweet! I have a crew cab 5.0 with an E-locker. I have discovered that with it engaged I have way harder launches. I do have mine tuned as well. I would love to take it to a drag strip one day.
I bought it off of Facebook. one of those little random sales add. If you search cell phone holders a whole bunch of them will pop up. This one was $15 and I've had it about 2 years. It's the only holder I've ever found that would fit a S23 Ultra with a cover one. I'll look and see if I can find the exact one and tell you the name brand.
that's awesome.... your going to love it. I was actually impressed as well. With a little better D.A. it would definitely be a little faster. next time out I'll put some real tire on it and see what it will do with some stickies. hopefully I'll get a tune for it by the end of the year.
I couldn't agree more. my other truck is a 2019 STX crew cab. it's got a 3.15 gear ratio. With just a tune I managed a 13.48 in it. you can see it in one of my other videos. Have fun Bro.🏎💨💯

@@Dylanclemmer315 not only that if you leave them totally stock they are pretty reliable as well. I know a few people with flawless 100k mile 5.0 f150s
I have the same exact truck. Only did a muffler delete, 20” wheels and the 1.5” Ford Performance rear drop. Are you racing with your locker engaged? I ran a very similar F150 two weeks ago and pulled him hard. It feels fast! I haven’t tried to launch yet with locker engaged. I’ve seen our trucks run as high as 12.90’s completely stock.
I made 3 passes on the truck. 1st pass no locker with soft launch and it went 13.66. 2nd Pass I did locker with 1000 rpm launch turned advanced track off and went 13.50. 3rd pass did the same with about 1700-1800 on launch and went 13.58 zero burnouts and good prep track. 85°F and D.A. about 1800. next video I do will be with weld wheels on 305 M/T ET street R. and see if it will touch 13.0
yeah I know it's unfortunate. but is crazy getting to see the potential of what these trucks can do. I can go 3 tenths fast just by going 2.5 hrs south to Houston. if I go 3 hrs north to Dallas I'll lose 2 tenths.
Yeah the people that just bought the track have plans during the off season to repave the return road. track was run in the ground by previous 2 owners.
That's pretty good. My 22 crew cab stock also with a Corsa catback ran 14.0@96 (Dragy) stock. My dragy is usually almost dead on with the track....maybe 0.1 to 0.05s slower. I think with a tire only you can run 12s. Shit...my stock 14 Mustang GT ran 12.9@108 stock on street tires. You are not too far from that.
I'm guessing you launched in 4x4 to get a 14.0. my 2019 crew cab 2wd with 3.15 gear did 14.98 when it was bone stock. with a tune only I've gotten the truck to a 13.46. you can see it in another video of mine.
