The Dominican Sisters of Peace is a Pontifical Congregation of Catholic Sisters who are members of the Dominican Order, or the Order of Preachers. Sisters of the Congregation are apostolic, meaning that they take the good news of the Gospel into the world through ministry to the marginalized, the immigrant, and the economically disadvantaged. Founded in 2009 through the union of eight congregations from around the nation, the DSoP’s history dates back to 1822, when the first Dominican women in the United States founded the Kentucky Dominicans, now the St. Catharine Motherhouse of the Dominican Sisters of Peace. The Dominican Sisters of Peace has built schools, colleges, and learning centers, hospitals and long-term care facilities, farms, and ecological and retreat centers, all with one goal in mind - to preach the love of Christ through our words and our deeds. The Congregation has 400 Sisters in 22 states and 750+ Associates around the world. Please follow us on social media.
The word ( aravi ) is ( alavi ) they are the Levites themselves. These jews are just a religious sect, not an origin, and not a race. The Arabs are the original.I'll give you a hint: Saudi Arabia is not Arabia or the Arabs
Thank you for your beautiful message. At this time of year we always hear, "Peace on earth". Thank you for including "Peace with Earth"!... a new insight for me!
We are blessed to have Sisters from 8 countries, including Vietnam, Nigeria, Zambia and Mexico! This video from a recent Novitiate ceremony will show some of that diversity. Thank you! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O6BSqhoIG_A.htmlsi=W4a2HrQ4kQUFsBFp
‘Gratitude is a light expression not necessarily conditioned to good times, making it possible to maintain the feeling and feel good, even during negative experiences or most difficult moments.’
There is a LOT more to religious life than wearing a habit. As a vocation director for a religious order, I find that if anyone is fixated on getting the habit, it's a huge red flag.
The Dominican Sisters of Peace, like Sisters in many congregations, dress in a fashion that does not set them apart from those they serve. We are a pontifical congregation, which means we are directly under the authority of the Holy Father.
