I grew up listening to Tom Meijer and the Happy Station Show along with the other RN programs. 0230 GMT on 9590 & 6165 kHz and 0530 GMT on 9715 & 6165 kHz to N. America via Bonaire.
All good things come to end. This video reminds me of the glorius times that we grew up in. The unimitable voice of Tom Meyer used to entertain our sunday evenings in this part of the globe. I guess there has never been such a talk and muaic show. It is sad that RJ Tpm meyer has hung his boots and the Dutch brpadcaster RNW and HS have literaly vanished in thin air. These things apart the RNW and HS was the very best❤
What a great thing to hear this show after so many years. I used to listen to Radio Nederland from 1972 to 1979. I never missed Happy Station. I used to listen to Gerry and Dodie Cowan too. They were kind enough to send me a nice photo of them both, along with their autograph. I still miss them, and Tom also. I used to admire Radio Nederland for its non judgemental approach. Who could forget that beautiful tuning signal. Thanks for posting this.

Especially from 1:40 to about 4:27 - when all the Trpts and brass was playing to the student (empty) side - the mic's were on KTVB Camera Perch on the South (Full) side. And John Fransen had to boost up the audio on the Singing part :)
