Is it possible to fit multifocals for a person with a lazy eye? My doctor is setting me up to transition into monovision and having me use my weaker eye (lazyish eye) for closeup work but because the eye is SIGNIFICANTLY WEAKER than the other, it is very difficult to read, etc. When I look through that eye, I can see, but it has a sort of "strobing effect" like it's short circuiting or something. We tried multifocals but we couldn't get them to work. I keep wondering if maybe we needed to try a variation on the prescription recommendation. I'm curious.
Why even have a “label indication” of <= 0.75 Cyl at the corneal plane? The soft spherical lens provides no cylinder masking. Indeed, the calculator applies -0.25 spherical equivalent if enter -4.50 sphere x -0.25 Cyl.
You say that you should follow the fitting guide. In general that is probably good advice. But in the case of Coopervision I'm not so sure. They really believe in monovision or adapted monovision. I'm wearing -2 with a high add in both eyes and it is perfect. By following the guide I would be wearing non multifocal lenses and would have sacrificed .25 diopters and I would have been much worse off. What is the problem here? doesn't Coopervision trust their own products?
While it has helped, I am concerned about the BAK preservative in Vyzulta. I have been on combigan (10 years)and vyzulta (5 years)and now have ocular surface problems and dry eye, myobian gland dysfunction!
You deserve credit for helping me go from 20/50 to 20/20. A measured refractive change from -1 Diopters to +0.5 Diopters. Free of myopia for life! Thank you so much!!
A Special Thanks to Dr. Rupa. I am a EE, so I understand the analysis, slightly differently. This is the first complete discussion I have heard from Dr. Wong. The issue is getting the person sufficiently motivated about prevention, while he still can confirm his 20/20. That is what I am doing now, and am confirming 20/20 for the last 15 years. Intelligent motivation, is the key!
Dr. Rupa is establishing the life time prevention of myopia, for her 3 children. That is probably the only answer for all of us. I am using her suggestion on myself, and argue that we should provide an education about it. In my understanding, it is an either/ or choice, while you still have 20/20 vision. Her MEDIA discussions were very powerful and convincing to me and my immediate relatives. They prevented themselves from entering into myopia. Thanks. Of course it can be prevented, by then person himself, when at 20/50. Then slowly change from -0.75 D to +0.5 D. Takes great scientific resolve. Thanks for your assistance in archiving that desired goal.

Is Eyezen Start and Eyezen +0 basically the same thing, both without any add power? Do they both have 2 focal points for my regular prescription without add power? I need to order something without the add power, but I don’t know which one of these is the right one to get for me.
I can buy 2% pilocarpine here in Thailand. Is that safe in general? I see Vuity is 1.25%. I have tried it and it works great but don't want to cause any damage if long-term use is dangerous.
I have issues with the sideways, when I look from sideways even a little bit, my vision become fuzzy/blurry and it is so annoying because salesmen or technology explaining videos or website never mention about these issues at all and you thought that it is going be same vision quality will be provided all over the glass not at only on the focus. Very disappointing, not thinking use Essilor brand anymore and I am going to send an email about how they eyezen technology fails on sides. They are not promoting like that at all.
I just had a vitrectomy a month ago. The pressure in my eye is 46. I was given this because the last drops gave me severe headaches and raised blood pressure. Am I going to headaches from these drops as well? I just used it and I;m feeling a light headache coming on.
